Hey all,

As many of you know, I'm a somewhat avid cyclist, more so a fairweather rider than anything. Regardless, I've joined a cycling team/club called Candlelighter Riders in association with Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. Our purpose is to raise money for the families of children with cancer and eventually ride the Tour De Summerlin 80 mile century for them. We have Yoyo (you're on your own) training days and Team ride training days as well as days where we are taught some basic mechanics of the bike such as, how to tune your gears and brakes. My personal goal as a team rider is to raise the minimum funds of $1,000 for this cause and hopefully finish the 80 mile century ride in 6 hours. Any donations contributed are much appreciated, anything from $.01 and up. It will all help the foundation as well as achieve my personal goal. With the addition of our kintera site you now have the option to donate online.(info found below) So please, if you have anything to spare and or have a limit you can afford, anything is appreciated by myself and all associated with the team and foundation. This being the first time I've ever done anything like this, so far it's been tough. I feel it's time to give back after all I've received and whether you contribute or not, I appreciate you taking the time to read this thread.
