Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had a right side (brake lever side, of course) stock rearset bracket available that I can buy from them. I need it for a 2002 GSX-R750. Unfortunately I went down recently and I was able to bend everything back into place but this bracket that bolts to the frame. I don't need the footpeg, nor the rear break lever or anything. I just need that main bracket that bolts to the frame. I have everything else.

Please give me a shout if you have one for sale. If you feel bad and want to give it away to me, that's fine too. LOL

JWD? Might you have a part like this? Let me know bro.

Thanks,
Mat

I get back in town on Friday. I think I have an entire right assembly in my garage. I'll let you know when I get back. If I have it, it is yours bro.

Thank you sir. Just let me know, the bike isn't going anywhere until that's replaced. LOL

I saw them on eBay, but all of them are complete assys. I really don't need a complete one, so I was trying to keep the cost down by just buying the bracket alone, but no one had them separately.

I appreciate the help.

I was turning into work a couple of Monday mornings ago and unfortunately my front tire ended up hitting a plastic bottle that was matted into the asphalt. I never even saw it was there. Never knew what hit me. I was lookin' through the corner (so to speak) as I was pulling up the ramp/incline into the parking lot and next thing I know, I'm lookin' at the ground and the bike was on top of me. Man I was pissed. I couldn't see that thing matted into the ground. At first I didn't know why/how I went down. When I caught my breath (knocked the wind out of my fat azz), I got up and looked into the street and I could see the bottle there and my tire marks sliding sideways from it. So, I'm guessing I was leaning in to turn into the parking lot and probably was even trail braking a touch and hit that bottle and bam...that was that. We have a ton of transport trucks with full car loads come up and down that street all the time, almost every day actually, so I'm sure it was one of them that ran the bottle over at some point in time. After it happened, the people at work had to actually pry up the bottle to get it out of the street.

As for me, I sprained my ankle and bruised my hip when I went down. Just got off crutches earlier this week. The upper fairing stay was bent, the front brake master cylinder bracket bent, the frame slider ground down a bit and bent back, it bent the rear brake lever around and the bracket that holds the footpeg to the frame. I actually was able to bend everything back to where it needed to be except for the rearset bracket. It was bent way too much. Oh, and the upper fairing edge got scraped all to heck. Only touched the lower a little bit in one spot but that's probably because it landed on my ankle and I saved it. LOL

So, now for me to test the bike out and ride it, I have to get that bracket. Once I have that, I should be all set. Thanks for the well wishes.

WTF Matt! Did I say it was O.K. to go down? I don't think so! Anyway, sorry to hear about the mishap. I hope you are all healed up. Get that gixxer fixed so you can hit up Utah again and tell me how much fun you had while I was at a conference!

Ride safe Bro!

Unfortunately my bike didn't listen to you Pat!!!! It should have!

I'm okay and my leg is healing up well. I'm sure I can ride, but I'm just waitin' to bug Jerry about the rearset bracket. I hope he has it. If so, I'm in for Utah...if not, then I'm out. I think he said he's back sometime this weekend, so I hope to hear from him. That's the only part I need to finish fixing my bike. I bent everything else back.
