I Ride: Shift Red 2005 Yamaha YZF-R1
Hey all,

I guess October must be a moving month. First Snappy and now me. LOL

However, I don't have that much stuff, but I was hoping to move it this weekend. The bad part is the BBQ is Sat from 10a - 8p and the Red Ryder's ride is 10:30 am - ??? on Sunday.

That doesn't help me much, especially because I'm planning on making both events.

Anyway, I only have a few big things that would need to be moved with help (a couch with a hide-a-bed in it, a love seat, a chair or two, a chest of drawers, and a queen sized bed mattress/boxspring/frame), so if there was a couple of guys plus myself it shouldn't take too long or be that difficult. I'd say that my new apartment is about 15 to 20 miles from my parent's house (in Henderson).

However, the trick is this. I have a Dodge Dakota (ya, I'm sorry too. LOL) and I can probably put a ball in the bumper, but I don't have any wiring harness to hook up trailer lights, so I can't even really borrow a trailer. I can probably take this stuff one by one up there, but that's a lot of wasted time and gas.

So, if anyone might have a truck/trailer to use (or I can take the chance of using a borrowed trailer without the lights hooked up on my truck) and that can help me, I would appreciate it. The good part is, everything is ground floor and fairly short walking distances, so it really shouldn't be too bad. I'm going to take most of the small stuff with my truck on Fri night.

Anyway, so name a time and I'm sure I can work with that. Maybe even early Sat AM (prior to the picnic) or Sun AM prior to the ride or Sun afternoon after the ride. I just figured that if we can do it during daylight, it would be best (especially if I can't use the lights on any borrowed trailer).

Anyway, if anyone can help, it would be appreciated. If not, then maybe I can wait until next weekend to move the big stuff. I just really don't want my father lifting heavy stuff like that, so that's why I don't want him to help and am requesting the help of you guys/girls.

Anyway, thanks for listening.

I'm hoping we can find time to help you with a load or two in our truck, but it would have to be Saturday for me... Looks like I'll be bowing out of everything on Sunday for homework again... sorry guys.

Then after the BBQ it is. It doesn't matter to me what time to be honest...especially if I can get the help!

I just got the keys today ( ) and took some of the loose crap up there tonight. I'll probably do the same tomorrow night and more stuff on Sat morning prior to the BBQ.

So, if you guys wouldn't mind helpin' after the BBQ, then that is great. I appreciate it. As I said, the main big things are the bed/boxspring/frame, a hide-a-bed couch, a love seat, my rolling toolbox (I forgot about that one) and probably the chest of drawers. I think that's really all the "big things" that I would need assistance on.

Oh, and I just put a 2" ball on my bumper, so I can probably use a trailer, but if it's at night, I have no way to hook up the lights. :-( Unless I go out tomorrow night and buy a trailer light hookup and wire it into my truck in the dark (not advisable. LOL).

I really appreciate the help. Like I said, it should only take a couple of us and a truck/trailer to get it done.

If my BBQs are offa my trailer tomorrow in time, I'll offer up my truck and trailer.

Hehehe...

It's from approximately 95 & Horizon Drive in Henderson to 95 and Charleston in Las Vegas. Actually it's up off of Nellis Blvd & Stewart (between Charleston & Bonanza). That's where i need to go to.

I moved more crap tonight and I'm getting up at around 6 am to start moving more crap with my truck. I'm trying to get it where the only thing left here is the big stuff I need help with. This way once that's moved, we're done.

I'm willing to get started when ever everyone else is. LOL Most people said after the BBQ on Sat...which means around 8 pm or so.

Gleno, it would be awesome if we could use your truck/trailer. Like I was saying, I'm trying to move everything I possibly can so, hopefully it won't take very long at all to move the big stuff...especially if we have a few people workin' on it...it should take longer to drive there than it will to load it and unload it.

Ya, suuuurrrrreeee ya did. j/k man.

I do want to truly thank Mr. Gleno for the truck/trailer and takin' care of some of the cowboy bed parts (don't even ask )

and to Les & Greg for droppin' by to also help take stuff in their truck as well as move the big stuff with/for me.

I owe all three of you dinner and a few beers!!! (just make sure I have money before you collect, okay? LOL!!!)

Seriously though, I really appreciate it. I probably wouldn't have all the stuff to my apartment until sometime in the middle of next week if I had to do it myself and take stuff one by one in my truck. We got it done in one shot and it didn't take too long except for me dropping my rolling toolbox in the bed of my truck a couple of times. However, everything is there with the exception of the computer, but I will be taking that and my bike up there AFTER the ride tomorrow!

You guys are awesome...

I also appreciate everyone that offered to help (even if they ran like little biatches after the BBQ...no names **COUGH** Josh **COUGH** LOL Just kiddin' with ya bro!

Oddly......the last time I saw a ghey cowboy bed with a piss stained mattress, was my 5 year old nephew.

I guess we learn a lot about our peeps by helpin' 'em move.

J/K dawg.
