10/5 Ride for Kids

Is anyone else planning on representing the club besides me? It'll be the biggest ride this year and proceeds go to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation for Kids.

$35 donation per bike.
Registration: 8am to 9:45am
Leave: 10am rain or shine
Begins at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Also, i'll be down at BikeFest Thursday afternoon/evening to check out the vendor village at Cashman Field. Anyone going to that?

Yes, the 5th = Sunday morning.

Cool. At least I won't be the only one. Anyone else? This will be a huge ride from what i've been told and seen last year. Police escort and all.

Yep... we rode up to the speedway for this ride a couple years ago. It is a HUGE event. I'd do it, but I've gotta watch E Jr.

last time we went we met at the Iron Skillet and had breakfast then cruised over to the speedway from there

I'm pretty sure Iron Skillet will be packed. I'm meeting PK by his place at the Shell just up from Hollywood at 8:30am.

If you guys want to eat, why don't we hit Timbers on lake mead at like 7ish for coffee and grub and that gives us plenty of time to roll out and make the sign up.

I will bring extra forms with me if you need them.

The ride today was awsome. Somewhere between 500 - 800 bikes would be my guess. Left the speedway with Highway patrol escort the entire way, around the 215 to Charleston, up to the RR loop, around the loop and back out, then to a park in Blue Diamond. Then we had lunch at the park. I strongly recommend next year you do this ride, it's for a great cause as well.
