| This Saturday, 11 Oct Pat and I are taking Alaina to the Family, Fur & Fun Festival. Come out with your two and four legged kids. The Family, Fur & Fun Festival is all about families and their pets. In today's world, family means different things to different people. How do you know if this event is for you? If you care for your pet (with or without fur) then you must come to this event! Adoptions: The Nevada SPCA has dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and ferrets available for adoption. The specific animals and types of animals that will be available at the event will be determined on the day of the event. Fun: There are several pavillions set up for children to experience pets hands-on and to participate in crafts, activities, and educational presentations, demos and seminars. Raffle: We have wonderful raffle prizes donated by the local community. Last year, a beautiful bike painted by the animals at the NSPCA was raffled to a lucky winner. Admission is free and so are many of the activities for example: Here's a list of fun things to do at the Festival! Get your pet micro chipped. Get an ID Tag for your pet. Answer a few questions to find out if your pet is part of the family. Find out how to keep your pets safe this Halloween. Find out if you are providing proper animal care from Drs. Jason and Jamie Sulliban of Aloha Animal Hospital. Help the Nevada SPCA name new animals that come into the sanctuary. Vote in our "Cutest" Pet Photo Contest. Earn an Animal Hero Badge and take a turn in the Jumpy House! Booths: Dog Training Tips IPTouch Animal Massage by Hearts o' Fire Make a Placemat & Bowl for Your Pet Face Painting Proper House Rabbit Care Proper Guinea Pig Care Proper Hamster Care Halloween Safety Tips Johnny Walker RV: Identify the Pet Dangers For more information please go to: 2008 Family, Fur & Fun Festival

The site doesn't have a schedule, so we'll probably shoot for noonish. Any earlier and Leslie will be freezing out there (especially this weekend)

Bump. This is tomorrow (Saturday). Or today, for those reading this in the morning. Bring the kids out (two and/or four legged).
