We'll be heading out in a couple.

Just checked the weather for Blue Diamond.

9am: 53 & few showers 10mph wind
10am: 55 & few showers 11mph wind
11am: 56 & showers 10mph wind

So it looks ok, we have done it in worse conditions.

My stomach is jacked up today, so I will be driving one of the pace trucks.

Thanks to Howie and Freddie for the texts. I was about 3 blocks from home stopping for breakfast before heading to RR when I noticed my engine making a funny sound. I'm am only 500 miles shy of my 32k service so it's probably related to that. The sound gives me the impression of a valve not acting right. I'm dropping the bike off tomorrow at MotoCafe and Ed said he'd give me a ride to work, so a thanks to him also. Please say a prayer for my bike tonight that it's nothing bad that will cost me $$$. Thank you.

Welcome to Honda. I've replaced my CCT twice already in 10K miles.

huh? When it is getting near the end of it's life does it make a fluttery metallic sound when you rev? Whatever is causing the sound doesn't make it at idle, only when I rev it and the sound increases and decreases with the revs.

Mine also did that. It sounded funny mostly when I was slowing down. The longer I went without replacing it, the louder it got and even started making the noise when it would idle. I tried a manual racing CCT, but that sucked. I had to tear apart the bike every time I had to adjust it.

i have a manual cct by ape on my f4i. i have adjusted it twice in the last 20k miles.

it is not that big of a deal to do when you have the bike apart for basic maintenance, cleaning or replacing the air filter.
