Dec 9, 2008 1) Sin-City Sportbikes will meet every second Tuesday, 7:00pm at RoadRunners 2) OFFICERS President- Marcus (Slejor) Secretary- Robert (Gunit) Treasurer- Eric (Vegaseric) Sgt @ Arms- Howie (hbrown93)- not present 3) MEMBERS PRESENT Cheryl (RCGunit) Pat (2upfz1) Leslie (LilBitDvl) Stacey (LostSheep) PK (RoadBlock) Pat (Vegasvideo) Matt (Bluerider702) Mark (Buellrider) Mike (Pinoy) Jimmy (Spooby) Jason (lowspeeder1531) Jeremie (Jeremie) Freddy (Got2Go) Karen (VFRChick)- showed up for the first time for our meeting, Welcome Karen 4) PROSPECT REPORT Jimmy- Been busy working but still take time to ride with the club as much as possible......( OUR NEW MSF INSTRUCTOR)!!!!! Jeremie- Been busy working, attended Turkey Poker Run Jason- Been in the hospital for back surgery and recovering at this time 5) NEW MEMBER Jimmy- WELCOME AND MAKE US PROUD, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! 6)CLUB ISSUES Regarding Ride Captain........ -The Sgt at Arms will take on all responsibilities of a ride captain. -Ride captains are responsible for the organization of official SCS club rides. This includes but is not limited to: making sure a lead and sweep are set, making sure the pre-ride brief is done, and knowing the route and stops. -Members are responsible for organizing and doing the pre-ride brief for any ride he/she posts. If that member does not feel comfortable leading, he/she can enlist the help of the ride captain. -The ride captain does not have authority to take control of another members posted ride without that member's expressed permission. -It is every member's duty to let other riders know if they are acting in a manner detrimental to the safety of the group. If that member does not feel like comfortable addressing the errant rider, he/she should make the ride captain aware of the problem. -The Ride Captain will give a monthly report at every meeting on any safety related issues affecting the club. -Six months from the next election, the club will vote on whether the Sergent at Arms should continue to take on the ride captain responsibilities. 7) OFFICERS REPORT Marcus- SCS would like to thank Freddy and Stephanie for celebrating our Holiday Party this year to their Mansion, a Thank You card signed by each members along with 2 Carrot Top show tickets were given to Freddy; Memorial Ride 2009 for Gleno will be on first week of February and more details to come; Thanked Pat for putting M.A.R.S. event together this past Sunday 12/7.....it was a success!!!!!! Events, he wants any idea we can add and wants everyone to be involved..... for more info December MARS Event Post Mortum.... CHATTERBOX idea to be used for every SCS Rides PK- In a process of doing a Public Service Announcement for all Valley Riders...more details to come Eric- an idea of getting everyone CPR Certified as possible (great for the club cause we're in a dangerous sport).
