The group ride went well until at Lake Las Vegas Jason's son got his helmet ripped off and waited for his dad to get the car so they could get home. So be careful leaving helmets on bikes when you can't see them.

I can't believe someone actually stole a helmet. What a sad world we live in!

Well it wasn't us ( first group leaving ) and I really can't recall seeing if his helmet was still there when we left. Unfortunately, a lesson learned.

I never leave my helmet unattended. It goes with me everywhere when I get off the bike. I also tend to avoid parking in parking lots, seen way too many threads where riders have returned seeing that there bikes have been knocked down by a cager. A group of bikes should be okay, but one bike alone, you're asking for trouble. Parking lots are for cagers.

So some of you may have comented where I parked up onto the sidewalk/driveway area at Lake Las Vegas away from the rest of the bikes, just a habit.

lesson taught, thats for sure. i will never leave any of my gear on my bike again! yes, i totally agree that parking a bike in a lot with the retards that drive 4 wheeled death machines is a bad idea.
