As promised... SCS May 09 Meeting Minutes I. Welcome Attendees Officers Present Arson Eric PK Matt Leslie Members Present Big pat Pat Stacy Marcus Mark Jeremy Jason Freddie JDub Jeremy Nicci Prospects Andrea Ryan Warren Guests Warren – Introduced himself to SCS. Rides A VFR Interceptor. Screen name is knight4u872 Corbin II. Prospect Reports - Ryan – Riding a lot and also went to Laughlin RR. Working on endurance to participate in an iron butt - Andrea – Has been dealing with illness in the family, but still manages to make it out and participate with SCS - Warren – Worked/rode DD ride. Stayed with MARS tent from the morning all the way to the end III. Prospect Vote into SCS - Ryan was voted in unanimously by all members. Will get with the treasurer to pay dues. Was given patch by secretary. Showed secretary motorcycle license and insurance - Andrea was voted in unanimously by all members. Will get with the treasurer to pay dues. Was given patch by secretary. Showed secretary motorcycle license and insurance - Warren was voted in unanimously by all members. Paid dues in full and was given patch by secretary. Showed secretary motorcycle license and insurance IV. New Prospects - Warren was voted in unanimously by all members. His sponsor will be PK. President reminded him to read all club by-laws V. SCS Annual BBQ - Date is set for 22 August 11am to 6pm up at Mt. Charleston Foxtail Picnic area. This year will have more attendees and bigger agenda - If we want a DJ, Arson can help getting that taken care of - Day of event, ALL members and prospects will need to help with set-up, take-down, during and ALL will need to bring 1 bag of ice - Vendors -Angel from VK has been nice enough to help us with getting us all the vendor contacts he has - Will need to get tables for vendors (Pat and Les will acquire from Nellis outdoor rec) - We will get with TWT restaurants to check on vending/prizes since we help support their establishments - Raffle - We need everyone to go out and get prizes for raffle. Does not have to be motorcycle related - All SCS members and prospects may not purchase raffle tickets. We want as many non-SCS crew to win as possible - A thread will be posted on the board to keep track of prizes. All prizes will be given to the secretary when members receive them. Better to have one POC for the prizes. - The flyer is still being worked but it will include stores that support us with prizes - Secretary is working on donation letter for establishments that require one to donate. Once completed it will be posted on the picnic thread VI. Dues - All dues were due by the March 2009 meeting. There will now be a $10 late fee in affect. Matt will accept dues through his PayPal account for convenience. VII. Officer's Reports - Pres – Nothing more to add - VP – Stated that SCS has been doing great at showing up at events. The more they see us, the more they will support us - Treasurer – The account has $1200 and some change - Secretary – Stated that ALL members and prospects will need to help with the BBQ. All should help with the planning, help the day of. Please do not make us have to keep asking. It takes more than just a few people to get things done. Also, plugged the RoadRunner’s happy hour. Lots of great promos to include $1 pizzas, $1 Coors pony drafts. Happy hour ends at 6:30 pm - Sgt-at-Arms – Went to 702 Alliance and explained that we will support them 100% but that joining them just isn’t for us. Looking at the last week in June to do a BBQ at MotoCafe. This will raise money for our annual events. Is talking with MotoCafe concerning a Chatterbox raffle. The BBQ at Mototcafe would be cost effective as we would only pay for the food that we use. PK will get with the secretary to work on flyers for the Chatterbox raffle/BBQ. Raffle purchasing could be done at MotoCafe and PayPal. Still working out the details. Second event – JDUB talked to PK concerning the daughter of the officer that was killed on duty. All clubs want to do something to help the cause so it is in the works. For now, the treasurer will post on the board info for the account to give donations to help the family. VIII. Open Discussion - MARS –May 9th was a busy day and very successful. They checked suspension on a full dressed Harley. Six bikes in all were worked on that day –Public Safety Group was also in attendance at the DD ride --Discussed with Pat that they will help pay for MARS to have a table at Bike Week in October (Our members will need to main the table in shifts) -Next event will be a hot weather event. More to be posted soon -Looking at getting tent sponsors. Cycle gear is a possibility. -Need to have our website more active. Pat explained that everyone wants money to really keep it going. Warren hosts sites and may be get some help for us through his connections -Non-profit is going good but it currently doesn’t have any money to get an account - Cali Ride – Getting a Cali ride together sometime the end of June. Keep a lookout on the board for more Meeting adjourned around 8:50pm Next meeting is June 9th

| Britt's doing AWESOME, but she is very lucky to have such a happy, healthy, quiet little girl. I swear Chelsea is the best baby I have ever seen. She was happy the entire time we were there.
