Prospect Vote into SCS- No prospect vote in this month IV. New Prospects- No new prospects to vote in this month V. SCS Annual Utah Ride- Date set for 8 Aug – 5 rooms have been finalized. The rooms will cost $85 per room, per night. The ride will remain the same as it is every year with maybe a few changes. After a final count is made, then we need to find out who will need to trailer their bike so we can start calling on some friends to see if we can borrow some trailers. Please do not wait until the last minute to decide that you want to trailer your bike. Remember that riders will be riding about 250 miles after arriving in Utah VI. SCS Annual BBQ- Date is set for 22 August 11am to 6pm up at Mt. Charleston Foxtail Picnic area. This year will have more attendees and bigger agenda - The Raffle prizes is the main item we need everyone to help out with - We need everyone to go out and get prizes for raffle. Does not have to be motorcycle related - All SCS members and prospects may not purchase raffle tickets. We want as many non-SCS crew to win as possible - A thread will be posted on the board to keep track of prizes. All prizes will be given to the secretary when members receive them. Better to have one POC for the prizes. - The flyer by Andrea has been posted for approval by members - Day of event, ALL members and prospects will need to help with set-up, take-down, during and ALL will need to bring 1 bag of ice VII. BBQ at MotoCafe - We made $88 after expenses on the raffle and $63 for other. It was great PR for SCS!! Hopefully the Chatterbox idea will get a better response for next time. The money made will go towards the Mt Charleston BBQ VIII. Dues - All dues were due by the March 2009 meeting. There will now be a $10 late fee in affect. Matt will accept dues through his PayPal account for convenience IX. Officer's Reports- Pres – Very proud of the membership showing up to different events. We show up, in our gear and are always safe. VP will also print out the BBQ flyers once Andrea completes them - Treasurer – The account has $1350 and some change - Secretary – Just happy to be back after spending 6 weeks in New Mexico. Ready to start getting the BBQ ready - Sgt-at-Arms –Spoke to LE concerning them approaching people at WSW. LE is tired of accidents and riders running from them. He reminded them that we are all not bad and some like SCS are actually trying to do something to educate riders. Sgt-at-Arms rode interference during the funeral ride for Animal. He stated that at least 10 riders did wheelies during the procession. That is exactly the kind of thing that shouldn’t be happening X. Open Discussion- MARS – No MARS update as Pat was unable to attend. MARS is a great program to get involved with so keep your eyes open for the next event posted on the forum - T-shirts – If you want one, get on the site and look for the thread and post how many. You can also getting the wicking. Turn around for the t-shirts after the order is normally around a week - Pole Position – Now set date yet, but we are looking at Oct. PK is looking into getting a special where the cost could be cut in half and only cost $15. You can bring your own helmet and they will have neck braces if you want. - MotoCafe – There have been some issues there recently. Please stay away from all the negative discussions on any boards. SCS has a great relationship with them and we want to keep it that way, so please take the high road - fantomalert.com is a program that you can use with your radar to alert you of radar areas and photo radar areas. Check it out - Luke stated that he has a friend that has a project bike if anyone is interested, but act quickly because after a week, they will probably get rid of it. It is a 1994 FZR 600. Meeting adjourned around 8:02pm Next meeting is August 11th
