Sammy's Woodfired Pizza
7160 N Durango Dr
Las Vegas, NV 89149-4470

Come out and get your ride on. We are having the new Kawasaki Z-1000 out for a rider biased evaluation. Kawasaki is looking for a variety of riders for a honest evaluation of the new Z-1000

So come grab some food, sign a waiver and get a test ride on a great new bike....

We are meeting at Sammys Wood Fired Pizza on North Durango... I will be there around 5 to get things going.

Great Food

Great Bike

I haven't seen the new look. I think I like it. Am I seeing right, no more v-twin?

I'll try my lid on and see if it kills me. If not, I might take it for a stroll...

The Z1000 has always used an inline four.

Actually the Z1000s have always been pretty fast. I have several friends that use them at the track and kick some serious ass. This version is a complete redesign and should be even faster.

Overall not a bad bike. Good power, but feels heavy. Very comfortable riding position. Handling I felt was a little soft for my liking, but it was a very short ride. Without really getting to hit some corners, the bike still feels a little sketchy in tight turns. The only thing I really hated about it was the dash. Digital tach was hard to read. Nice bike for the market it was ment for. Oh, and I don't really care for the look. Just my $.02

Of course, it has the typical lovely upright nekkid bike seating position. The engine is nice for around-town commuting... it has a nice, fat midrange and pulls decently up top. The shifter is excellent! And from the limited turns I experienced, the suspension seems well sorted out. I'm not feeling the instruments, though. The tach was a bit difficult for me to see while riding. My overall impression is that the Z1000 would make an excellent commuter/canyon carver.
