Hey all! I was sitting here watching the news and of course all that was on was the disaster in the Gulf. I know that the dollar amount will be in the millions to help rebuild but I was wondering if we as a group could come up with a fundraiser project to maybe do our little bit in this world. Bikini car wash comes to mind first but I don't think we'll find something to fit GSXRwizard(Mat) Dunno if I'm even out of line since I only met a couple of you and bust Gleno's chops whenever I can but I am willing to help with anything ya'll might want to do. Or you can tell me to STFU and find some porn

well I was trying to be serious about the issue, with some joking on the side, but I guess TWT and cops busting someone's balls is more important to humanity as a whole. That's cool...next time someone cuts you off or pulls a wheelie in front of you just remember that you got it so much worse than some guy that tried to hold onto his wife and 135mph winds ripped her dying grip from his hand.

I hear Lowes is matching every dollar donated at their stores for the Katrina relief efforts. I may stop by today and donate a few bucks.

Our Bureau is federally obligated to provide disaster assistance, and they just sent out the email this morning calling for volunteers. Wish I could go, especially since it's really awesome overtime and involves southern cuisine, but they only take people for 30-day minimum terms. We sent a bunch of people to Florida last year, and then before that to pick up the chunks from the Columbia disaster. Just thought I'd share, since it's kinda neat.

Sorry for not jumping to attention and giving you all my time and money immediately.. Isa sorri sir, what would you like me to do.. Isa be on dat right away sir.. All joking aside, we should and most certainly could put something together.. It might be a good idea to try and get another club involved to help out and make a nice big donation at Lowes.. I know the 50/50 we do at the COC meeting could be something we do. or maybe try to do something with SIN (first to come into mind since they do so many events).. JUST MY SERIOUS THOUGHTS.. Fawkin Crew Chiefs.. JK

Hey guys/gals... Do you think there is any way we could set up a type of charity ride? Like maybe get some people (or companies especially) to donate so many cents per mile that we ride and then get a bunch of people (members, prospects, public, cruisers, whomever) to ride in it for charity? Just a thought. I'm not sure how long or if it's possible to set something up like this, but we could take ALL the proceeds and send them to a VALIDATED relief fund. Just tryin' to help out.
