If we can get a map of the place that would be very helpful.
My wife is also going. Glad he is recovering.

Here is the map:

Clark County Government Center

As the map shows, it's right across the street from the Outlet Mall downtown on Grand Central Parkway.

I would like to donate but I'm on the blood bank's permanant reject list for having elevated liver enzymes when I was 18. Which was discovered after donating blood. I've tried to donate in the past and they just told me thank you for coming by, but we cant accept blood from you.

So is there a time element here? From what to what hours?

Yes, 9 am to 12:30. I imagine they would stay longer if there is a large enough crowd. My mother has contacted the person the runs the blood drives and told her to expect a large number of people.

Pat and I went to give blood. Unfortunately because we were stationed in Turkey from 95 to 97 we are unable to give until the year 2269. Hmmm....

I was there around 1:45. I gave my pint to the cause. I got a chance to talk to his parents. They are very nice people. There very much appreciated our support for their son.

I had no idea that those were his parents. I would have talked more.

I tried to give but they refused me cause I got a tattoo in the last year. I'm think I'm starting to understand why there's a blood shortage. And don't they test the blood for diseases anyway?

Justin, do you know if there's a way to make a blood donation for your father from outside the Las Vegas area? I'd like to donate here in Los Angeles and give him credit. If so, is there an account number or do I just give them his name?

I was unable to make this due to my work schedule. Is there another way/time/place I can donate for this? I'd love to help.

I think you can go to any blood donation center and dontate in his name. I'll confirm later today.

Yep...United Blood Services will take donations pretty much anytime. There's two other locations, but you can give them a call here:

United Blood Services
3935 E Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV
(702) 438-9850

I tried to give on Monday, but my bone graft I had due to my knee surgery put me on a temporary hold until September of this year. I'll be giving blood at that time.
