hey guys,

I recently quit my job @ motorcycle city. long story short.....all the negative things i've heard about the place played themselves out, and i got tired of dealing w/ the bs.
i've been considering moving to cali over the past 2 months. after taking a road trip through the LA/orange county area....I just fell in love w/ the place. vegas is great...especially the sportbike community....but i feel like i have to cope w/ the environment out here and, when cali is so close......the answer to my dilemma pretty much presented itself.

I just got back from a roommate searching trip and found a good deal for a place in aliso viejo, orange county--about 5 miles from where Josh (mustang on scs) lives.
that brings us to another topic:

Immediate opening for a cool roommie in an awesome summerlin home. the room will be available the first weekend in april.

this is a pretty rare find, as you're going to be extremely hard-pressed to find roommates as cool as the two i've spent the past 4 months with.
we're not really roommates, so much as roommates that became great friends. my one roommate, mike, and myself always go on epic hikes and free climbing together....do crazy outdoors stuff.....
my other roommate (Adam...who owns the house)....is one of the coolest friends i've ever had. he's a dealer @ the MGM.....originally from israel, but went to school in the UK. smart as hell. open-minded, hilarious. he first introduced me to vegas nightlife, and has since then become my one of my best friends and wingman. since they're in their 20's, they're looking for someone similar around 21-26 or so, male or female, outgoing & fun. No crackheads, though. So if you like to smoke rocks and take long walks down Martin Luther King BLVD in search of your next fix, then you need not apply.

The room is around 10x10 w/ a large window and large sliding door closet perfect for stock piling WMDs or whatever else you fancy putting in your closet.
I have a full-size bed/computer desk/chair and book case that fits in the room. You'll also get your own garage spot, and you can park on the street w/o housing association nazi's towing your car like other neighborhoods. The house is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage on a corner spot with.....yes, that's right! we have grass on the front & back lawns---in vegas! The rent is $500 a month and includes everything (utilities, internet, cable tv etc). No deposit is needed. I just signed a contract w/ Adam that basically held me responsible for any damage that may occur & requires 30 days notice before moving out.

The house is located in the pueblo section of summerlin ( http://www.summerlin.com/home.html ) and, IMHO, one of the nicest communities in vegas. It's a 5 min walk to the local bar (steiners) and shops. dentist/eye doctor, post office, Albertsons etc. Las Vegas Athletic Center is a few blocks away down on rainbow blvd. redrock canyon is a 15 min drive, mt. charleston is 15mins, the strip is 15 mins away. The house is very well located in the northwest @ Cielo Vista and Buffalo. The house also comes w/ a fluffy white cat that likes motorcycles :

I hate to leave such a nice place, but my career has drawn me towards orange county.

From what I saw a couple weekends ago, you'll enjoy the OC...great riding and beautiful weather. Good luck with your move.

You live right down the street from me. I live off of Cielo Vista up closer to Vegas. This is a great neighborhood and the freeway access is a plus.

don't split lanes? whats the point of riding in Cali if you dont split lanes... I'm not talking about doing it at 60, but slowly isn't bad if you're careful and pay attention

thnx guys

it's hard leaving the friends behind that i've made here....but i'm trying to look at it as holdin' down the beach house for my friends to visit, and having cool people to hang with whenever i take road trips to vegas or the tracks in town.

Hit me up when you get to the OC! I'll hook you up with a bunch of cool people to ride with. You'll love it here. I 'm here from Boulder City 10 years ago and have never had the urge move back (but I visit all the time)

You are gonna have a great time exploring all the twisties!!

no shit...lane splitting is a great commute time reducer. it makes what would be normally a mundane trip exciting. i highly recommend it.

Well no matter how much lane spliting saves time you can't do it here in Vegas. I found out the hard way two weeks ago on the way to drop off a ticket at a lawyers office to get it taken care of. NHP got me spliting lanes on the 15 by Tropicana exit heading south. I have had my bike for four years and never gotten a ticket and I have had two now since Feb. I took the past two weeks off to get rid of the bad karma on my bike.

Have fun out in Cali, definitly good riding out there. And I understood as you could split lanes but only five over the speed of traffic but not over the posted speed limit. The main thing is ride safe man so you can enjoy the important stuff!
