I had a great time. I haven't swung a club in at least 3 years, but still managed to par the first hole.

I'm going to make a tee time for this Sunday, though. I was thinking around 6pm or so since Matt (BlueRider7o2) wanted to come out for an evening round. Any thoughts/preferences/comments?

Ok, for anyone that missed the golf mag that compared balls a couple months ago, here is a couple of charts with all 54 balls. The first pic is sorted by distance, and the other pic they are sorted by spin.

All balls were hit with a machine that had a driver attached to it (I can't remember the loft). It swung at like 95mph.

On the right you can see what handicap they recommend each ball for. Some they missed though.

You can see that the more spin a ball has, the more they recommend it for a lower handicap. Because you can work it more than a ball with less spin.

Anyone up for a round this Sunday night @ 7pm at the NLV course? It's been a couple months since my surgery and I am aching to get back out and play.

I just saw that it's gonna be like 105 on Sunday, so that might be a determining factor also. I haven't decided. I was just checking for interest

That's the great thing about the NLV course. It's a perfect place for newbies.

And at $10 for 9 holes it won't break you to find out if you want to pursue it.

Actually, I have to pull out for Sunday. I need to get the overflow tank replaced on the bike, and some other stuff I have been neglecting to do around the house. Not to mention it'll be like 105 on Sunday. Not that it's going to get any better, but I'm not ready yet.

Ok, it's time to revitalize this thread. If the weather is good, anyone up for golf at the NLV par-3 on Sunday?

Probably during the day because it's still a little chilly once the sun goes down.

BTW, I played there yesterday afternoon (played hookie from work) and got my first birdie!!!!! It was beautiful. Course is in great condition.

Ok, tee-time is set for 2pm.

This is open to anyone that wants to play. Even if you suck. (we all do).

It's only like $10 to play a round, and only takes like 1.5hrs to play. I have some extra LH & RH clubs for anyone that doesn't have clubs but wants to come out and play.

Anyone else want to come have fun?

Had fun today. Even though it was just me. Got par on 4 holes, no birdies this time. It didn't help that after the 4th hole the sole on one of my golf shoes started to come off. Felt like I was playing in flip-flops.

Les will be in Texas next weekend, so I'll probably go out both Sat & Sun. Unless I'm out riding Sat.

But Sunday for sure.

Well, there are no in's so we are staying home. If anyone shows up, the tee-time is under Leslie's name.
