SCS Nov Meeting Minutes

1)Sin-City Sportbikes will meet every second Tuesday, 7:00 pm at RoadRunners.

2)OFFICERS:

4)TREASURER REPORT: We currently have $1133.10 (due to dues pd by Howie and John) in our account. Secretary still has cash box in safe.

5)PROSPECT REPORT:
1.Howie – Did adopt a highway, been doing some riding
2.John – Did adopt a highway, been on a few rides
3.Stephon – Did not give report (not in attendance)
4.Michael – Did adopt a highway, been riding back and forth to work. Also helping his friend put their bike together and is learning a lot
5.Aaron – Riding a lot. Angel stated that Aaron is an amazing rider
6.Miller – Rode VOF with his neighbor, right now working on his bachelors degree and getting his house finished
7.Jerry - Did adopt a highway, rides everyday to and from work

NEW PROSPECTS:
1.Herbie (king750) – Rides a Gixxer 750. Came out and helped at the adopt a highway. Has been on some rides. He is a new rider but Jose vouches for his riding capabilities. He was voted in and showed his M endorsement and insurance.

6)CLUB EVENTS:
1.Past event - 20 Oct – Adopt-a-Highway. Had 17 people show up to help. Thank you so much for the help.

2.17 Nov @ 7:00 pm – Mini Grand Prix Night
a.All members who show with their patch and one new unwrapped toy will be FREE
b.All others who show with a new unwrapped toy will be half off the price
c.All toys will be given to Jose and Luis from Wolfpack to help with the radio station toy drive
d.JWD brought up a concern that the date conflicts with the 702 birthday bash that was posted. Our event is not mandatory so the members can attend either. It was also suggested that SCS can come to the mini grand prix and also the 702 birthday bash after

3.18 Nov – Red Riderz Turkey Run
a.All information is posted on the SCS by JWD.
b. This is the mandatory ride for SCS. Prospects were told that if they can not make this date, to let an officer know by Friday and this event will not be held against their prospect time. Aaron will be at the SMMP track and is excused from attending.

4.8 Dec – SCS Annual Holiday Party (time TBA)
a.This is a members/prospects/special invites and family ONLY party
b.This year it will be at Ryan Miller’s house
c.We have adopted our family from CandleLighters’. It is a young boy who is in remission. All information will be posted on the SCS site, so please keep checking so you know where they will be registered at for gifts. We will also be purchasing the famous SCS pocketbike included with the SCS stickers

7)NEW/EXTENDED BUSINESS
1.Have new logo completed and will be sharing with SCS via the website. Business cards and t-shirts will be made with the new logo.
a.Temp cards are made and secretary will have them at the mini grand prix and the Turkey Run (I PROMISE)

2.Concern came up about the difference is between “official” and “mandatory” event. Nick stated that he puts official in the thread topic to get peoples attention. Leslie stated that in the post itself it will state “Mandatory for members and prospects”.

8)GROUP DISCUSSION
1.BIG NEWS!!! HowieB and John750 both came up for the member vote last night. There were 8 SCS fledged members there to vote and by unanimous decision both prospects were voted in!!! Congratulations to them both and both are great assets to the SCS family
a.Both have paid their yearly dues and have received their patches

9)OFFICER REPORTS:
1.President – Could not attend this month’s meeting
2.VP – Nothing to add as he presented meeting for Eric
3.Sgt-At-Arms – Nothing to add
4.Secretary – We have a new point of contact for RoadRunner. Her name is Andrea D’Angalo. I have contacted her and we have reservations for Dec 07 and Jan 08 in place
5.Treasurer – Not in attendance

All members and prospects - please note that I stated the wrong date at the meeting for the SCS holiday party. It will actually be on the 8th of Dec, not the 15th. I wanted you all to have advance notice for your schedules. I apologize for the confusion.

First I forget the business cards last night, now this. I'm SOOO fired.

I promise I'll have the cards at both the grand prix and turkey run for those that would like some.
