So check this out. The reason I lost the domain www.ridenowpowersports.info to RideNow was because of my stupid Google ads.

They say that made it a commercial site and not a information site.

What a crock!!!!

Fuck em.... They just spent over 2k on a domain that cost me 2.99 and the site is till up.

Anyone up for a RideNow picket day? Thinking with spring here, it would be a good time to try to take their business away... and before it gets to hot. LOL

Debating if I am that much an ass to do it.... I am thinking yep!

Anyway, thought I would share.

Screw RideNow Powersports!!!!

Update.....

So shortly after I get the news from ICANN and WIPO I get properly served to appear in court. Sweet. Guess I have no chance against a company claiming to be worth over 500 million... I mean OJ got away with murder with high priced lawyers.... what chance do I have on my own? Especially with only 3 weeks to prepare.

Keep your fingers crossed for me. Let's hope this country still has a 1st amendment.

I hate to say I told you so... but I told you so.

you could always go for ridenowsucks.com or something else like that. But putting thier full trademarked name in a domain will cause you to lose it everytime.

Once they get the domain back, expect a bill for all of thier expenses, and then small claims court if you dont pay it so they will get a judgement against you on your credit report.

Thats just how shit goes in the domain world, I've seen it many times. Once you get a cease & desist letter, if you really have nothing to gain by fighting it, its best to just let it go.

Goes to show what kind of company RideNow is... Get a cease and desist from them, do everything thing they request except take down the site, They steal my domain and they still sue. Kudos RIDENOW

Such a good company to do business with, makes me want to run out and spend another $15,000.00 with them.

They are going to sue for everything its cost them so far, plus damages. Now it going to cost you attorney fees to defend yourself, and you still arent going to win. If you dont show up for the court date, you can save yourself the attorney fees but they will get everything they are suing for by default.

I told you back in november: If you dont have anything to gain, its best to just comply with a cease & desist letter.

This pro-bono attorney crap and free speach stuff isnt going to work either. I've seen this many times, and it hasnt worked for anyone yet.

Nobody ever listens to ol'crazy Will.

Good to see RideNow has a cheering section. From some of the comments from you against RideNow I would have thought different... Way to keep the faith

Attorney? Please! Like I can afford an attorney. No, this David is going up against this Goliath alone.

Actually, I have found numerous cases where the judge has found in favor of a persons 1st amendment rights. Will this one? Guess time will tell.

:)

EDIT: PS - I complied with the cease and desist, still getting sued. Shows the character of RideNow and William E. Nash, the person that signed the order. Read it, it's on my site.

I believe Mr Pheer was just attempting to give you a realistic view of what to expect regarding domain name infringment cases. I didn't take it that a side was being taken. But good luck in your legal battle and keep us updated on your progress.

Just curious, is it a C&D Order or Letter? Some attorneys sign the letter to try and make it look official. Of course there are lots of variables...where the court is ie: state, county, local, federal etc.
