Haven't been to Vegas in a couple of years, last time I was there they were estimating 08 for the Hover Dam bypass to be complete... Just wondering if it was done yet.

Did it help with traffic if it is? Man that traffic is/was bad through there with all the construction..... Probably why I haven't been there is so long.

WOW!!!! Sorry to hear that.

So what do you guys do if you need to come down this way? Detour through Laughlin? Anyone know how much out of the way it is? I know the little woman wants to go camping, but I am thinking a few days in Vegas might just be a little more fun.

It's about an extra 30 min give or take traffic on the Dam...It's actually alot more scenic to drive through laughlin anyway IMO

30min? Hell, I spent more time than that in traffic over the damn. Might be worth a try. Thanks for the info.

Got pushed back 2 years to '10 due to a crane collapse.

They are just barely getting started on the support arch. And they can't stick the surface out much farther till the arch can support it. Gonna be awhile before we can ride across it.

Ok, so has anyone tried to jump that yet?

It probably is the same. The job was completely shut down by the Feds when the crane collapsed. Then they had to put up a new crane before any more work could be done.
