Hey folks,

As talked about in the meeting, I need two bikes for an AFTERNOON photo shoot on Sunday, April 27th.

This one is a little different twist, however. It's not going to be local. The shoot site is about 2 hours away towards Death Valley, CA. It's a remote few abandon buildings with some graffiti on them. The type of shots I've been wanting to do for a while. Very pretty model to shoot on the bikes.

Since it's 2 hours away, we'll probably have to leave the Vegas meeting spot around 2 pm, get out there by 4 pm or so, do the setup and then start shooting. Ending the shoot just about dusk and returning to Vegas.

However, here is the trick...I need at least ONE BLUE SPORTBIKE. This was a requirement of the model, so I'm trying to oblige. If I can't get a blue sportbike, then I believe the shoot is off. A perfect bike/color is the blue Kawasaki's that are out. That's what I'm looking for. I know the Suzuki's have blue in them, but I believe she wants the majority of the bike to be blue, not white.

Anyway, I just need one blue bike...the other can be whatever color.

Please PM me here or email me at: mat@southbayphoto.com and mention that you saw this post here.

Thanks a bunch!
Mat G.

yamaha blue is a nice blue. anyone have an R6 or R1? My neighbor has an R6 but it's in pretty bad shape after the accident or I would see if he would be interested for ya.

Well, I'll know for sure a little sooner, but I'd should be good as bike #2. My part should be here in a week.

Okay...brain fart on my part. I'm a Yamaha guy and didn't even think of that being blue. LOL What a noob!

So, yes, the Kawi or Yami would work in this case.

I'll be surprised if no one here owns a blue R1 or R6. Then again, they might not want to go on a 2 hour ride to get to the shoot location either.

Oh, as for the Suzuki...that's a possibility to use in a pinch, but I believe it's normally more white than blue for the majority of the bike. She was looking for an all blue bike (of course not including striping or something).

Got it...thank you.

Is there no one with a nice Yamaha R1/R6 in the bunch? Or a nice blue Kawi?

Wow.

I'll give it another couple of days and then post this on the 702 board as well.

I actually have two shoots that weekend (Sat 26th & Sun 27th). One is going to be local (26th) and the other I have posted here. I haven't even begun to work out the details about the 26th shoot because I've been worrying about this one because of the distance and bike specific.

However, the 26th shoot is going to be local (haven't gotten that far yet) and in the afternoon. Was thinking Red Rock initially, but not with all the people there in the afternoon. So, I don't know where I'm going to shoot this yet. I may end up having to cancel it and just go with the 27th shoot for now.

Anyway, I guess I just gave myself a free bump.
