Honda has finished thier fuel-cell prototype car and will start leasing them to the public in southern california this year. http://automobiles.honda.com/fcx-clarity/ the technology behind that is amazing... it produces electricity without combustion, only emits heat and water vapor. But the really cool thing... since Honda is a Japanese company, the greedy oil-based american politicians cant stop them, and Honda is big enough that the Oil Company Mafias cant scare them off.

only thing the website doesnt mention, is how much it costs to refill the hydrogen tank. Honda is also working on a unit that can refill the car in your garage, and also provide power for your home. Now thats really fuckin cool.

City of LV had one about 4 years ago. I don't know if they still do or not. It was on loan to them. They were using a fill station down the road from you Will. I haven't been by there to look lately but that was the big silver bubble.

| Quote: Sell excess power back to Nevada Power (like they currently do with solar powered homes). Have them pay you to supply them with power.

| Unfortunately, most of the hydrogen available in this country comes from natural gas, which is controlled by the oil mafia.

I really like this, I hope they pick vegas to expand to very soon, I sure would like to know how much the fill is gonna be on the car though.

| Yes and no... its easier and cleaner to convert it from water. Converting natural gas to hydrogen still puts out CO2 which is kind of defeating the purpose of using hydrogen in the first place.

We need this stuff sooner rather than later. Demand needs to drop big time before they start coming down on the gas prices. BTW...why is E85 gas still $3.35 a gallon if it is only 15% gas? The rest is government subsidized (corn) ethanol. Shouldn't E85 be $1.75 gallon?

Without government subsidies (which we pay for anyways), there are no "alternative fuels" that make economic sense right now. Sure, the greenies want to use bio-fuels because petroleum is dirty, but are they gonna pay for it? I know I don't want to. Oil's gonna have to go to $300/barrel before bio-fuel becomes attractive. Even then, who do you think is going to manufacture and distribute it... the Oil Mafia, that's who.
