What's the coolest thing thats happened to you because you ride?

Of course, there are the obvious answers - you meet cool people, ride fast, or ladies flash you...

I've heard some crazy adventures as random people approach me and strike up a conversation. Sure, they may be a stranger, but they come up to me like we've been drinking buddies our entire lives. Sometimes, you meet elderly women who think its cool and they've lost husbands who ride. Others tell of their adventures when they were younger.

Riding motorcycles brings with it unexpected benefits...

What story do you have?

I Ride: Lots of Kawasakis
It gave me a career. My Dad had no idea that when he bought me my first bike at age 8, he also gave me the one thing I needed to suceed in life.

I'd say without a doubt, that meeting & helping start this SCS family. When we were in Turkey and Nebraska we made close friends but it never failed that shortly after, either they would get orders and leave, or we would. It hurt like hell when it happened, so we decided not to get too close anymore.

But when we came to Vegas, and bought the FZ1 that first year, we couldn't help but make close friends. We happened to be at the right place at the right time to be there to help with SCS's birth and upraising, it has been the most fulfilling thing I have ever done.

Members still come and go, and it still hurts like hell. But the time we had together I will never forget for the rest of my life.

Right now I am at a crossroads after losing so many friends here, but I know that regardless which way I go, my SCS family will still be there.

It has further expanded my social circle to include some absolute great peeps that I may not have met otherwise. Getting to know/hang out with the variety of riders I've encountered is almost as fulfilling as the ride itself.

Waaaaay back when I was was cruising down congress parkway here in chicago and I stopped at a gas station to fill up when I see the seeeeeexy red 999s.fueling up too. So i go over and start talking to the dude, who still has his helmet on, about his bike and where he likes to ride. Well eventually it got to hot for him so he took his helmet off and who could it be......
