State Farm. I have a lot of Insurance on my bike (probably more than needed) for around $90 a month (CBR1000RR). I know with some 600's, people are looking around 35-50.

places like all state, state farm, progressive go highly on age age credit rating. but dont go with a place like eastwood cause they suck.

State Farm is the only insureance I know of that goes strickly off the CC's and not the style of the bike, which usually makes them alot cheaper for the sportbikes!!

I believe you have to insure your car with State Farm in order to insure a bike with them. This was true when I got my Busa. The increase in my car insurance offset the savings I may have gained from insuring my bike with them.

Insurance is such a black art... there are so many unknown factors that may make one particular carrier hella expesive for one individual and reasonably priced for another. I have Progressive, but it may not work for the next person.

Give Barry Stevens a call and see if he can set you up with a reasonable carrier. He has been able to set quite a few riders up with decently priced insurance.

I suggest going through Stevens Insurance. He's a broker and checks all the insurance places and tells you which to go through. I had one place for 5 years ($400/yr for full coverage), and then they stopped covering bikes (phuckers). Stevens hooked me up with Progressive, who I thought screwed everyone, for $50/mo for full coverage @ 100k/300k. But yes, they quote based on age and credit rating.

They did require that in the past but not anymore. My buddy just insured only his bike with State Farm. CBR 1000 RR and he pays $700 a year for full coverage. Don't know what his driving record is like or any of that but I do know you can insure only the bike now

ok, i messed up, my insurance on my bike is state farm my truck is travelers. my fault. my ins. is high cause of the wreck i had in august. even though im not paying to much for it. considereing the accident. its funny, i had my 929 for 10 days when i wrecked it, we took out a big loan (125%) for the bike. and had gap ins. im sure the ins company was pissed they had to pay out 8,000 on a bike that was insured for 10 days. roflmao!

Well there ya go. Good to have the coverage, but you'll end up paying more in the long run with the jacked up rates.
