greetings everybody! a little over a year as a vegas resident. relocated from southern cali, (inland empire) too expensive, and wasn't quite ready to leave west coast and cut the roots from where i grew up. prior military, war veteran, currently a student going for electrical engineer & work as radar technician. work with a couple of friends who also ride. 3 of us have @ 3yr and our 4th guy has over 10yr riding experience. but our 10yr rider is currently bikeless and looking currently in the market for one asap. in fact, were going to go to carter during lunch to check out any special incentives. he is just interested in R1 or gixxer1000. anybody out there know any good deals or recommendations where to buy? were have all relocated from south cali (san diego) and all prior navy. ed(600rr), emil(gsxr750), jose(gsxr750), mackie(currently ride on a pair of converse). were all avid bike nite attendees, use to aggressively attend inland empire bike nite at "friscos". hope to meet you all and get more experience under the belt.

Glad you chose Vegas over Phoenix, too many of you cali's moving here... LOL

j/k, sorry, i'm in a strange mood this morning. ;)

Welcome. This is a great board, you will have a lot of fun and get some great information here...

What part of Vegas you in? I lived out there back in the early 90's... Vegas is a fun town, always something to do there. Miss it sometimes. Congrats on the move, school and all, hope it all goes well for you.

Welcome precal! You sound like you've taken a similar path as me... I'm an 11yr AF vet who decided civilian life was a better option. I got a BS in MIS while still in the AF and currently do computer work.

When you go to Carter this afternoon... ask to speak to Carl in Finance. (don't speak to a salesperson before this) Let him know that Eric from SCS sent you and have your buddy let him know exactly what he wants. Carl will help you get a fair deal. Let me know how it goes and keep in mind that Carter doesn't sell Yamahas.

Again... welcome to the site!

that one belongs to my bro at chino hills, ca. he got his before me at corona motorsports. being 2nd on the waiting list. i had to wait @ 8 months longer for mine. which is a silver 1 for sale w/less than 100 miles, my reservation & down payment that just sits in his garage at cali. which periodically gets turned on.

After seeing one here in Vegas (the sweet yellow/black), I was instantly turned on to it as a replacement for my wifes bike. After her surgeries, she can't ride a 2-wheeler. And the Spyder would fit the bill nicely.

Welcome to the site. Your brother lives in Chino Hills huh? That's right around the corner from where I grew up in Diamond Bar. Small world.
