The worst part is the toy lid! Military TNT Canister Found at Scene of Fatal Motorcycle Accident Posted: Aug 16, 2008 09:38 PM A fatal motorcycle accident turned into a bomb call for North Las Vegas police, this afternoon. After they arrived at the scene of the accident near Craig and Gowan, officers found a highly explosive TNT container under the motorcycle. The bomb squad determined the container was authentic, but it was empty. Rescue crews managed to revive the cyclist, but he later died at U.M.C. Police say he was wearing a novelty helmet at the time of the crash. Novelty helmets are not approved by the D.O.T. Police are still trying to determine if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. AddThis Social Bookmark Button

THIS IS FROM CHANNEL 8'S WEBSITE Strange Circumstances Surround Staff Sergeant's Death Updated: Aug 17, 2008 09:07 PM PDT Eyewitness News has learned the man killed in a crash yesterday afternoon that turned into a bomb scare was a staff sergeant at Nellis Air Force Base. The crash happened near Craig and Simmons Saturday afternoon. Twenty-seven-year-old Staff Sergeant Cody G. Herring was riding a motorcycle when a truck turned in front of him causing him to plow into the side of the pickup. Herring was a member of the 820th Red Horse Squadron and was through to be on his way to a free luncheon and showing of the play "Defending the Caveman"-- which was being presented to the Squadron's members and families. The 820th Red Horse Squadron is scheduled to ship out for the Middle East next week. North Las Vegas Police Officers found an empty military high explosive TNT container in the wreckage of Herring's motorbike. The discovery caused the evacuation of the area for about an hour. No word yet on whether that container is related to Herring's job at Nellis. | |

| Select members, such as myself, become Demo qualified; this would mean that they use explosives. The nature of the unit is to " Work hard and Party hard " so it is a good possibility that he carried that container around, before all the homeland security stuff we used to do things like that. RIP.
