Can someone please list what all of these long distance riding tips are that everyone is always talking about? Like real, proven techniques. I'm going to LA on thursday morning and will appreciate it.

Start Hydrating now...lots of water Stretch...a lot! Do your basic maintenance on the bike, oil coolant, chain etc. Bring a flat tire kit...Cycle Gear has them Bring hot weather gear...cool vest etc Bring extra water...wear a hydro pak/camel back Find places that you can move your feet to while riding. The idea is to be able to stretch and move your legs while on the bike. Practice this first! Watch the angle of your wrists...too much bend = fatigue and discomfort. Bring shield cleaner and wipes Keep cell phone turned while riding. Roaming will kill the battery This is some basics...hope it helps

On your bike... A set of Helibars, an aftermarket seat, and a set of peg lowering blocks (I know a guy a that makes them) All that makes your bike very comfy for long distance and its still a blast in the curves. A set of hard bags really comes in handy as well. A GPS mounted right in between your handlebars on a ram ball bolted to your front fuel tank mount. I've put thousands of long distance miles on Interceptors.
