For an 09 zx-14. Good price or not? Was out passing out fliers for the bike wash and this is what one dealer was going to sell me that bike for. No dealer costs, freight or anything.... 600 off the sticker and sales tax. They had it in orange and green..... Liked the orange better.... bout would like one in black.

I usually shoot for MSRP out the door, or less. Preferably less, but MSRP wouldn't be a rip off. Unless its a really hot/popular bike, then all bets are off.

sticker was 12,9**.... tax is high here in AZ..... I have all the numbers at home..... sitting at the coffee shop right now. Looked reasonable to me. Then again, after being raped by ridenow, and what I ended up paying for a used warrior.... anything would sound reasonable. LOL

bottom line, is it worth that to you??? Buying a bike is NOT an investment. As soon as you take it off the lot you lost money. All I can say is shop around and see how much you can get it for elsewhere, then you will know if it's a good deal.

So, right off the bat, they have an inflated sticker price on it. You should be able to get at least MSRP out the door.

Man... they were blowing out the '08 14's for $9900 + tax/fees at Carter last month. I'm pretty sure the '09 is the same mechanically.

i hear ya, that is why I said you should shop around. What I did was walk into a dealer and ask what the price would be out the door, then go to the rest of the dealers and see if they can beat the deal. Then you find out which dealer wants your buisness the most. At least it worked for me

| CycleBuy Invoice Information For $15 you can get a dealer invoice to take in so the dealer can't argue about how much they paid for the bike. It has all the numbers. MSRP, dealer price, holdbacks, shipping cost. Even at their price, all dealers (car or bike) still get a "holdback" from the manufacturer. It's money that the manufacturer sends the dealer when they sell that vehicle. For a bike it's usually a couple hundred dollars. The invoice you get from the site above has all that in the report you get. I did that for both mine and Leslies bikes. I got the FZ1 for $500 less than MSRP out the door (and a KBC VR-1 lid). For Leslie's, I got it for less than they paid for it out the door. It was the prior years model sitting on the showroom floor and they had to sell it before they brought in the new one. Between the two bikes I saved over $3000. So the $30 ($15x2) was WAY worth it.

| Quote: I saved 3 grand buying an 06 new leftover last year $9995 instead of 12995. for the identical 07 ktm. Had to travel to Reno but for 3 grand i'm traveling. I'd look for a leftover and bank the extra cash! | |
