Just wanted to let you know, in case you didn't... there's an MSF Advanced Class.

When: Sat. 1/24/09, 7:30am to 4:00pm
Where: College of Southern Nevada, W. Charleston & Torrey Pines
Cost: $60.00 +$5.00 "new student fee" if you have never been a student there.

Certain motorcycle organizations will reimburse you for the cost of MSF classes plus you can show your completion cert. and possibly get an insurance discount. I'm a Honda Riders Club of America member and will be able to get the cost reimbursed, so it's a free class for me.

I enrolled today... hope to see some others there. Pass along the info. to anyone you know. We can all learn how to ride safer.

I just got the schedule for CSN yesterday. I believe many insurance companies will offer a discount if you take and complete this course.

I've taken the MSF ARC and this is a great, inexpensive way to improve your skills. I may even sign up for next year as well.

I might do it next year also. When I took the basic course years ago, the instructors suggested taking either the basic course, or the advanced course every few years just to stay sharp. Great idea IMHO.

I noticed I had the date at 1/24/08, so just in case there was ANY confusion about the date, I went back and edited it to 1/24/09.

The ERC (Experienced Rider Course) is awesome, you get some serious speed, and on your motorcycle, it'll show you what you can really do with it!

at least with Geico once you take the basic course you get a 10% discount good for 2 years, then you can take the experienced course every 2 years to keep the discount going.

Basic courses fill up really fast and usually run 2 to 3 months out. If you want to get her into the Basic Course, get her signed up... if you sign up now, you might be able to get her into a course in the spring before it gets too hot.

Once she's signed up she'll have a better chance of getting in, there's a lot of cancellations, if she signs up and there's a cancellation I'll post it up, that way she can get right in....
