AAHHH yes my young padawan, but in order to achieve this riding technique you must first understand the meaning of throttle controll. Once you have master this, then comes body position, form, and find that line of approach. Your speed will follow padawan...

Hope this helps, brutha man
Encourage people to do a Track Day school.
But sometimes that's not enough. So I created these event.
THURSDAY NIGHT DRILLS
T.N.D.
&
SUNDAY MORNING RIDE
S.M.R.

Now it's a bit ruff, but I get my point across.
Just take the time to start something.
Remember, if you build it... They will come...

Hope this helps

You may have good content in these two videos, but I wouldn't know. The opening shot of both have a guy doing a stoppie with no helmet or gear on. You might want to do some editing, cause that totally destroys any images of safety you may be trying to portray.

So are you saying that you didn't look at the content because of a picture you don't approve of ? If so, isn't that a bit close-minded ?

No Tom... it's realistic. If you are attempting to covey safety and your video has a guy doing a stoppie with no helmet (illegal), you may lose your audience.

And I'm not sure how the Red Rock video fits in, but the title may be a bit contradictory to the cause as well. Just a thought...

Overall, I believe these activities (newb rider exercises) are a great way to get riders started in the right foot. Thanks for posting these JP!

yeah the idea is good but marcus and eric i think are right on. that would be like me making an anti gay video but having the opening scene be two guys going at it. just a bit contradictory.

I my opinion it seems to be pessimistic not realistic because he commented only on his first impression and not the actual content because he said he didn't view it. You know that VSR which was the board created by Jp's brother had a few stunt-type riders so it could be that he was marketing to his target market. In other words, young riders that might be doing those types of unsafe things, instead of riders like JP, you, Marcus and myself that already ride in a safe, responsible manner. Maybe some outside of the box thinking can be a good thing.

I am sorry, but I would have to agree with Eric and the group.
Great idea, just the package needs to be tweaked a little.

I would be like having Carmen Electra doing a guest appearance on Barney and Friends. Yet the cover of the box is Carmen in a micro thong.

Or putting Barbara Bush on the cover of a porno.

What is inside may be what you want, but a mom isn't going to pull the first example off the shelf, and MOST people looking for porn wouldn't pick the second example. Lastly if either example went by the cover of the box, someone would need counseling.

Just my 2 cents.

What if you are trying to get Carmen's fans to watch Barney ?

Hey guys, like I said before... It's a bit ruff.
Remember, I post videos of a stunt and I get the noobs attention and then I school them on the 1st thing 1st.

First video is to show a little tech on the basic then to more advance stuff.

Second video show proper riding through the loop @ 35mph.

I do my best with these strong minded noobs.

Out of 15 guys I've gotten 8 turned around ridin' better and wanting to do trackdays...
It has taken me 6 months but I got them turned around.

The kid who edit the video (23yrs) love to do wheels and stoppies, but he's slowly coming around. I don't see him doing that any more around me at less. So I'm getting through to him.

The people in the group were Fast rider or wanna be stunter. Who don't know the fundamentals.
Now they do and now they are ridin' safer on the streets. Or at the very least around me.

Thanks for your comments...

Remember, Rome is not build in a Day...

JP

p.s. I'm more than happy to get some help on, "getting the message across these noobs..."

Are you saying you weren't trying to convert safe riders to stunting in unsafe ways ? I'm shocked !! Major sarcasm on my part.

As I said, I'd be happy to help out if you need. Send me a pm and I'll give you my number.

I wasn't really trying to be negative. I opened these videos minutes before leaving for work. I give Youtube 5 seconds to grab my attention (sorry - MTV generation), and that was the opposite of what I was looking for.

I'll eventually sit down to watch all of it...

I think the concept here is great. The implementation needs a bit of work. I understand using videos to get peoples attention. Just be careful of what the "sizzle" videos do to the young riders thought process. They see this guy "backing it in", they are going to try it themselves. You can only imagine the disaster that will cause.

I think it is great that you are taking the initiative to help other riders. We see too little of that. Now you need to get with several other experienced rider, some with training experience, and tweak the process.

Done well, this could be an incredible thing. Done poorly...well you know. Understand that we are all here and willing to help all we can in any way we can. That is why we started MARS. Just let us know what we can do.
