we are interested in becoming members... but as some of you guys already know, we live in kingman... which means we dont get to a lot of functions... we usually go to vegas at least once a month, and we have met a lot of 702sb'ers as well as some scs'er... but will our not being able to be there at a moments notice (since we have to plan for it, being this far away) be a problem with prospecting? just curious n stuff... basically, how does it work out for outta townies?

Never ran into that problem before, usually it's current members/prospects moving away. I'm sure an officer like myself wouldn't mind discussing it with the club and see if we couldn't work something out..

Well you passed the spaghetti test!

there is a link that explains everything. Eric can you help me out here. I can say that they are good folks, they actually had me stop by on my last trip back from AZ and thaw out ( see spaghetti reference ).

How would we handle this being that they are in Kingman?

here is what the by-laws state

3. Prospecting
A. Must be sponsored by a current member
B. Prospect period is 3 months
C. Participation is strongly enforced amongst prospects. If you are unable to attend ANY meeting or official Club function, you must let your sponsor know no later than 24 hours in advance.
C-1. Sponsors must contact their Prospect via private message, email, or phone call on a weekly basis.
D. You are responsible for your own success at becoming a member. It takes participation and an overall consensus of the members to be voted in to the Club as a member. You will be required at each meeting to stand up and tell the Club what events you have participated in and what you have been doing to promote the Club in a positive manner.
E. If you are caught doing anything against Club policy, you will be immediately expelled from the Club and can attempt to prospect again in 6 months after being expelled.

4. Club Member Participation
A. All members must attend a certain number of events to remain a member
A-1 Must attend at least 2 meetings per calendar year
A-2 Must attend at least 1 official SCS event per year (I.E. SCS BBQ, official SCS ride, etc)

im purty sure we could do it... it just depends on rys schedule... he is management at his job o slackers, and as such, it falls on him to pick up the pieces, usually...

like i said, we are usually in town at least once a month... the only thing that might be difficult is to always have the bike there... i force him to drive in the car with me usually so i have a backup in case i get too tired... (im a weenie, as well as retarded) at any rate, pk has seen us in action, since we met up during sema, and again when i had him over for dinner... (hes had too much millitary food, my sketti was weak that night... lol) we are going to try to get into more functions, so hopefully this might be able to work eventually...

basically you need to be sponsored, be able to show at the main monthly meeting for 3 months in a row as a prospect, show an interest in the club and it's values, and stay in touch with your sponsor once a week.

Once a member then it's just as GoFast pasted...
