They Charge for that...not a free service
how much?
Not sure of the exact price, but it is in the hundreds.
im just wondering if it isnt in the allotta hundreds, if maybe we could all donate toward it as a group... it just seems like itd be safer to have the escort... would that be something worth considering if i can make arrangements of some sort with lvmpd? im going to put up a thread to guage interest...
apparently it costs, but i dont know how much... i am going to call tomorrow to find out a price... heres the thing... if it is say around 200 or less, would you guys and possibly the other groups as well donate toward the cost of the escort? (keep in mind im thinking like a couple bucks, not a huge donation) it just seems like it would be safer to battle traffic with the boys in blue in the lead... if i am outta line, by all means, let me know... i just thought that if it was inexpensive enough it would be safer, and we could then all be one group as well...

ideas? thoughts? interest?

I Ride: 2006 cbr 600rr
I think it would cost alot more than 200, thats why we are going to have ride captians and sweepers and leave in increments of 15 or so!

it's not a stupid idea. it's just we won't have a need for them. The route has been chosen with regards to the traffic situation and keeping the lights to a minimum.

Pretty much the only time you'll see a police escort is on the Ride for Kids. Now that ride definitely needs it as the line of bikes stretched for about 2 miles long and we had to go through all the 215 lights going west from the speedway.

That was a great ride too Matt is correct though, no need for a police escort, it is all being handled by the SCS officers.. They are making all arrangements needed to make this a smooth and enjoyable ride!!
