Hi Everyone,
I am moving to LAS next week and wanted to introduce. I haven't spent any time on a bike there so I have a few quick questions...
I understand lane splitting is a no-no. Is this strictly enforced?
Someone from SoCal told me the roads are "smooth as butter but the heat brings all of the oil to the surface." Any truth to that?
Does Las Vegas Motor Speedway allow track days?

Thanks - see you soon!

Whats up mang, welcome to vegas and the site!

No lane splitting.

If a cop sees you he will pull you over.

And the motor speed way has midnight mayhem (fridays) which is a drag strip night time event for locals to test there vehicles in the quarter mile.

We also have a track that is used for track days and sporting events...

Just like any city, we have some nice roads, and some shitty ones. always pay attention!

And thenn.....

.....And then there's the drivers here. Absolutely pay attention at ALL times when on Vegas streets. No one will notice you and they will not hesitate to move right into the lane your occupying.

Don't let this scare you from riding, I still ride everyday regardless and think the rewards are worth the risk.

Welcome to Vegas and stop by one of our tuesday night gatherings and say hi.

Thanks - see you soon!

1. as stated before, the cops will pull you over, that was my very first ticket on a bike 17 years ago!!

2. I haven't had any problems with the roads in the heat of the summer with the exception of a few oil and antifreeze spots from cars leaking..But road construction is a way of life in Vegas, always pay attention and wear gear!!

3. That would be a huge 10-4 on that sir. LVMS offers pretty much everything you need for all your speed induced addictions

+1

And they also dont mind turning left in front of you, pulling out of a driveway in front of you, or just running over you at a stop light. You are truly invisible here.
