I spoke with Dawn from Las Vegas Harley Davidson and they want us to help out with a couple of events...

Thank you so much for your email and call.

We are finalizing details and this is approaching very fast. We plan to advertise on the radio, perhaps in the RJ, maybe City Life, thru several motorcycle websites, mass emails and more.

The demos will arrive for unload and service preparation on March 5th. On March 6th and 7th we will open registration from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. The Buell demo truck currently has 12 2009 bikes, including the 1125R. Not only do we want to promote Buell, we want to further promote Safety. That’s where MARS would be a great fit!

I’m open to your suggestions. If possible, a free safety check courtesy of MARS (or for donations or tips) to help the cause, might be an idea. We are working to hold a swap meet for ALL bikers on Saturday March 7th. I’m trying to budget for complimentary food from 11 A to 2 P however I’m not there yet.

We have been asked to provide a 8-10 mile route with mostly right hand turns but still be able to get the bike up to freeway speeds and allow for a proper handling experience.

I look forward to hearing your ideas and will keep you updated on anything new we have. We hope to release promotional information (or at least as much as possible) by the end of this week, first of next week.

Thanks so much.

Dawn

The demo rides is for their Buell line and they want there to be a safety aspect included. They also want us to be involved in The Double D ride in May again. I need help with ideas and volunteers

What do you think we can do? They also want help with planning the route for the Demo Rides.

I am interested in helping in an SCS capacity if that is what the membership wants or on a personal level. Just let me know what you need and how I can help.

Here is something we can think about as well

I would like to donate my self to further the experience. I am full of straights and right handers.

Pat- Like i was saying earlier.. I think doing the usual, gear, paying attention, learning the bike etc, but maybe vegas street smart tips. How drivers drive out here, how to tell un-attentive drivers from attentive ones. Not to ride in blind spots, watch for intersections, stay away from left turn lanes in the middle of the street, etc....silly lil tips like that..

I am thinking of rotating different mini seminars after each set of test rides. I also suggested we set up a course on the range to test the bikes cornering and braking, since there really aren't many roads close

Is there a map or anything for this to help out? I don't know what the eastern location is. Still 9 am right?

Every time I see one of those 1125's I can't help but see the resemblance between it and the trash can muppet from Chappelle's skit "Knee High Park"

Is it just me?
