I've been looking for a good pair of riding boots for a while but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I want more protection than you usually get from a street shoe, but I dont want to buy full race boots. I really like the ones you just got PK, but they looked really heavy. Nothing wrong with heavy, but I do want them to be comfortable as well. I also want something with good ankle armor, not just leather protection. Any recommendations/reviews?

P.S.
Thanks for great MARS presentation at the Gleno ride, Pat (VegasVideo). It really made me start thinking about getting better boots sooner rather than later.

Sidi street burners, they are awesome. Also check out what joe rocket has, they have a pair like the sidis but are a little cheaper.

I love my Dainese "Jekyll" boots, but I don't believe they make that model anymore. These Alpinestars boots seem worth a look:

My boots are surprisingly light, at least to me. I looked at the Alpine Star boots and they seemed more like tennis shoes. Real comfortable, but I am not sure on the protection side.

By the way, I challenge you to a rematch of "ASSHOLE" and I refuse to allow you to "Buck" me again.

YEAH and next time you could explain in the rules, that honesty is not the best policy, when you teach someone the game.

Just got back from Carter ( I know it was painful ) They have the new alpine short boots, but I just don't know about the ankle protection.
