I was gonna get the Frank Thomas SP tech boots from CG, but they hurt my pinky toe just walking in the store, too narrow for my foot type.

I mean I was gonna get the Alpine Star SMX-5's for $220, but they felt so cheap, extremely light, no ankle support, only "bone guards" -which even a cheap pair of leather boots with carbon fiber inserts has for only $50

So another boot I'm looking at is the Teknic Chicane's, $85:

Or the new March 2009 version Teknic Chicane's $145:

Anyone had experience/heard anything with Teknic's chicane boot out now, or anything about the new ones coming out? Good/bad/awesome/awful?

Thanks in advance

I like how the Chicane now has a heel. It used to be flat all across the bottom, making it hard to reposition your foot without fear of sliding your foot all the way off.

I am partial to the Chicane, only because both my suits are Chicane's. Now I need to get the matching boots. Yay! Now if they only made a vented model.

Well you asked so here are my opinions on boots. Mind you these are just my opinions and they are like assholes, everyone has one and they can really stink.

1. Get a pair... One just doesn't seem to work.

2. Make sure they curve in opposite directions ..... Your feet do the same thing.

3. Now here is the really tricky part.... The boot that curves in to the Right, goes on the Left foot. The boot that curves in to the Left, goes on the Right foot. Is that some crazy stuff?

4. This is kind of important too.... Put your pants on BEFORE you put your boots on.

Again these are just my personal opinions.

Got them today, took a risk ordering online, I wear anywhere from a 9.5-11 depending on the shoe, I have wide feet. I ordered a 10, perfect fit!

Although my boots are not the same, I wear mine 15hrs a day, everyday. I use to take them off at work, then it became more of a hassle taking them off and putting them back on again, so I just wear them full time. They are very comfortable. I have the BMW Transit Boots.
