Well we had an interesting ride after TWT. Big UPS to Blood Dust for stepping up and taking care of business.

Bluerider and I decided to ride with Blood Dust to the Damn, Chaos was going to meet up with us.

While we were headed East on 215, we were rounding he Durango Curve, as I looked through the curve, I noticed one of those new Dodge hatch backs, sitting in the fast lane. I thought at first that it was headed the wrong direction and flagged everyone to slow down. As we approached, we had to swerve to avoid the car, thank God for proper following distances.

We came to a stop and I saw that this car had hit the inside the wall on the drivers side. I rushed over to the car and asked the driver if he was okay. Once I saw that he was conscious, I became concerned with everyones safety.

I had the driver open his trunk for added visibility and we moved to the side. I tried to flag people out of the way, but it was hard to get there attention and they were going to fast. Blood Dust asked what we could do, I told him we need to keep people from hitting the car or us. He immediately stepped up and started to head back up the road to warn drivers. I told him that we would need to have him take his bike back there and use his head lights.

He did that as I called for help. NHP showed up shortly. The first officer locked up his tires trying to stop in time. He hit his lights and asked if there was anyway to move the car. There wasn't being that the left front Axle was snapped. There were at least 3 cars that almost hit the NHP car that had it's lights on. The trooper called for back up and medics. He then said thanks for coming to the drivers aid. He said that it was a very dangerous spot and he could have been seriously hurt or worse. Blood Dust held his position until another NHP trooper showed up to relieve him.

Now this is the type of interaction and face that I would hope that we can put forward to the public. Riders that care and do the right thing.
