We had a pretty good night tonight. We took a run through Calville and out to Lake Las Vegas. While we were chilling at the Lake, some idiot ASSHOLE decided to steal Carson's helmet.

Wish we would have come back soon enough to catch them.

Unless we are on a group ride and leave someone to watch the bikes, I always either take mine with me, or use the helmet lock.

Not to be mean, but... how dumb can ya be?! As long as I've been riding I ALWAYS take my helmet with me, if I'm not going to be able to see the bike every second I'm parked. AND, I always keep a long security cable and lock in my bag in case I DO need to leave helmet and/or jacket. I run the cable through the jacket and helmet, run it through the frame and lock it. Yes, if someone wanted the jacket and helmet bad enough, they might be able to cut through it, but I doubt most people would take the chance of being seen doing that. Hopefully the victim of this crime and any potential victims have learned a lesson here... albeit a very expensive lesson.

It was late, we were at Lake Las Vegas, and there's was hardly any foot traffic around. Probably all of us left our helmets on out bikes. It happens. No need to make him feel worse, I'm sure he got the idea as soon as it happened.
