Oh this is gonna be a RANT!!! I almost got taken OUT last night by total ASSHAT in a CAGE!!! This idiot tried repeatedly to hit me. He tried so hard that I ended up putting my bike into a power slide twice. I pulled off to the side of the road and the asshole tried to hit me while I was stopped. I finally got away from the guy, called 311 and the metro dispatcher basically said that she didn't know what i wanted them to do because it was a matter of road rage. I told her the guy tried to kill me. She kept saying but did he hit you, did they have a weapon? I said what the hell do you think that car was? What the hell are we supposed to do? ![]()

OMG, same thing happened to me yesterday! Dude pulled out in front of me I locked the rear, then did a little bit of a stoppie, I had to avoid another motorcycle. So I kept yelling to pull over, they didn't. So I rode around to the driver side and kept kicked their beautiful red car door over and over, with the metal toes of my boots. Needless to say, he never pulled over, he's now missing a lot of paint on both doors, I went around and kicked the passenger side after his bitch of a ho ass girl was yelling back at me "we ain't pulling ova" License plate 480 RXE Over and over I kicked, dude never swerved, nothing, but if you see a nice, I dunno accord or something newer with missing paint chips on the driver/passenger doors....then you know the Spoobinator was there! Fuck people trying to kill bikers, there was 4 lanes, dude should have pulled into lane 1, instead he chose lane 3 where I was....I swerved into lane 4, on ONE WHEEL! Literally! Seriously, If I hadn't messed around with stoppies I would have crashed, but I knew what to expect, so I was able to control it!

Get the fuck away from them. plain and simple. It takes a split second for us to hit the gas and get away from anyone who we think could be a problem...If someone cuts you off or repeatedly trys to hit you, get the fuck away from them!! We cant legally lane split, but we sure as hell can go places other cars/vehicles can not. Lane split to get some distance. And spoobs, your lucky this person didnt have a gun, if a biker did that to me and i had no idea what was going on, i would have probably shot your ass for repeatedly trying to damage my private property and possibly harm the passengers in my car. A cop sees you as the aggressor, he is going to take your ass down. Not the driver. And on a side note, if you want the cops to actually get into action. You need to tell them that the person is falling asleep at the wheel and swerving or drinking etc. Give them your info in case they need to call you back. That way he is a hazard to not only you but other drivers and they will send a cop out....you have to make it apparent that the person behind the wheel is a hazard to other drivers before they will ever do anything. IE, say you saw them drinking a beer, say they were asleep behind the wheel at a light until someone honked. etc etc.. been there, done it.

The first time I took Les on the freeway with her new bike, we were in the fast lane doing like 70mph, like everyone else, and some dipshit chick in a little red Honda or Acura cuts off someone to get in right behind Les, like RIGHT on her ass. I was in the lane next to Les, so I fall back a little and with deliberate hand gestures, ask her WTF??? She pulls even closer to Les, so I kick at her pass mirror (missed) but managed to scrape the door. So she freaks out and almost hits me to get away, and heads for the next offramp. So I follow her kicking at both her doors until she got off the freeway. It was really funny, she was flogging her little POS to get the hell outta there, and I was circling her like a vulture, pecking at her until she stopped, or got off the freeway.

| I would have done the same thing dad if i was in your possition. THAT IS BULLSHIT. People need to watch out for bikers. That is how gleno died because the girl wasn't paying attention to what was going on.

To all I pulled over, I shot past them to get away. I got held up by traffic. I can did everything that we are supposed to do, go the plate, reported that the driver appeared to be intoxicated. Bronze mercury with plate number, direction of travel. The frustrating part is I did everything I was supposed to do and the dispatcher didn't want to even do anything and was trying to not take action. Do they want us to act like we are at war with people. I could act like a 1%er and pull out a weapon and start beating down people. I would say that my chances of being able to handle someone with a weapon are a lot better than most, but what purpose does that serve. Passers by would see a biker beating someone up and think that we are all like that. Trust me I wanted to take these punks out! I can't say that I won't happen to keep an eye pealed for this guy and car. My question again is what do they expect us to do?!?!?

I think they expect you to handle it just like you did. Try to get the fuck away from him. Once someone has been killed or maimed, then they will respond.

Thank you Eric & John for the advice, maybe I need to "Woosa" in the heat of the moment, but anger consumes me and takes over for the most part when my life is threatened. And if the dude had a gun, or decided to swerve then....I would have ventured down that path if it were to arise....Also just like PK said, nothing was done, dispatch even acted like they didn't care. Put yourself in my shoes, or even Pat's.....or PK's for that matter, just think about it.

if you expect the unexpected things like this wont really piss you off, more then it does backup your gut feelings when you should move lanes, run off, etc.. i dunno something you will learn in time i hope... dont get me wrong, i almost get killed everyday. Its nothing new to me when a cager comes flying into my lane. However, if i can see that this person is actually trying to kill me? Whats more important me getting vengeance? Making my point? or my safety? ...that should be an easy one.. my 2 cents..

I was just typing what happened to me last night, but I figured I would just get flamed. I didn't make bikers look bad or anything, I was just standing up for myself...Maybe a little too much. |

Your story Jimmy reminds me of what happened to me when I was on my way to work on Johns bike months ago when I was cut off and kicked the door on a car. everyone is entitled to their opinion on how to deal with a given situation, and when your online typing it out on the computer it's easy to take the time to think out a good solution that may or may not be a good idea, but when it comes down to what you actually do it's a whole different ballgame. I know my life is valuable enough to get seriously pissed off and kick some doors if dumb ass drivers put my life on the line. Also, you can be as nice as you want on a bike and try to keep a great image for bikers and all, but bottom line there will always be idiot drivers out there that just don't give a shit. Sure call the cops, not to say thats a bad idea but chances are the driver will be long gone by the time they get there and nothing will probably be done anyway without the cop actually seeing anything. That's how I see it and I've managed to survive 17 years + of riding without ANY major accidents on two wheels.

I agree with Vegasric, car vs bike, car will win everytime. Not sure how and what everyone's experience unfolded when they said they got cut off and then went on a rant. But from my personal experience and observation, even though it is clearly the cagers fault, it's the rider's fault for his or her inability to choose the safest lane and line to travel in. I see this everyday, I see a rider zipping down the right lane, when there are two others lanes available. Just because the right lane is wide open, doesn't mean you should be in it. The right lane in general, is the worst lane you could possibly be in just because there are too many entry and exit points. Plus the angle or radious in which a car can see that is pulling out onto the street is reduced dramatically for the biker riding in that right lane vs a lane farther out. Remember, one lane is always going to be safer than the other, and it is up to you to decide which one it is. Don't put yourself in a position where you are going to be vulnerable. Most accidents can be prevented. Like I said, I don't know where you were in repect to lane and line choice vs where the car was coming from, but just keep in mind where you ride and your speed! Street Strategy you guys.
