I Ride: GSXR1000 k6
With school I haven't really been able to ride my bike since January. So I woke up this morning and decided it is a good day to ride! I got all my gear on and moved my car so it was parked near my bike. After this I uncovered my bike and put the cover and lock into the trunk of my car. Wouldn't it figure the battery was dead! SO I took off all my gear, threw it in the trunk and put the cover back on and had to drive to work today Oh well, better luck next time. (I didn't have jumper cables or time to worry about it handy)

Sounds like your an apartment dweller. Battery tenders are your friend, but only if your close to an outlet. The weather is supposed to go to hell by this afternoon so at least you'll have plenty of non riding friendly weather to get the battery charged up.
Jus' trying to look on the bright side...

It was 100% dead. I think I must have left the key on Lock with Tail light for it to be this dead.

As soon as I read the second sentence, I knew the outcome. That sucks. I had a period with a bad battery where it would die if I left it over a week.

So it appears my battery is broken or my alternator is bad. It wasn't just dead :(

Take the battery to Cycle Gear and let them check it. Mine appeared to be fine, but when I put a load on it, it couldn't handle it.

I took it to cycle gear and Greg and Dave took the battery to charge overnight and will let me know tomorrow if it is any good. Until then I bought a new battery and am charging it now. I should be on the road soon!
