In one piece... sort of by MotoVegas on Mon May 04, 2009 7:53 pm So, on a Death Valley ride Sunday, I went on an off road adventure at the front of the group... I have no memory of it, so you'll have to ask Paul. But the long and the short of it is I broke my neck. Thanks to all the guys on the road that took care of me, and for Presha for sticking with me in the ambulance and the flight for life plane ride back to Vegas and keeping my family in the loop. Thanks for Paul (and Zack maybe?) for driving back to Bishop to get my busted bike and gear. Odd thing, they roomed me up with Dave at UMC. We shared a few laughs. Hopefully he'll be out of their sooner rather than later. As for me, I'm now at home. Doc told me I was lucky. Apparently this sort of fracture if it gets displaced regularly causes paralysis. Anyway, thanks to everyone one that checked on me. Best wishes to you and a speedy recovery!
