Drunk driver gets 10 years. In my opinion, it wasn't enough.

At least he is serving time! It seems that if you hit a motorcycle rider there is built in leniency.

It's treated like petty theft... "well, the motorcycle was small, so the sentence will be also"

I'm with vegasvideo - at least they're doing time.

I hope this person has 10 long years with nothing to do but think about what she did to the family and it haunts her each and every day.

What would be ideal is for her story to get out to everybody, so they will re-think driving drunk. If I was her, I don't know that I could live knowing I took away someone's brother, father, son, friend, coworker, uncle... how horrible.

Thats about what your getting out here for a DUI wreck/fatality. 2 of my coworkers got these , one is still in , the other got 7 years but only served 2.

Unfortunately, those messages tend to fall upon deaf ears most of the time. People will see a PSA, billboard, or picture about a family that has lost a child, mother, or father due to a DUI and they will think to themselves, "Aww, that is so sad" and then go get ready for a night out on the town and end up driving home drunk that night. It is sad but that is how we human work, atleast here in the states.
