Well, I figured I would give you the latest and greatest.

I went back to the Orthopedic Surgeon, the news on my fore arm wasn't so good. The bone slipped apart and didn't mend. I am going in on Monday at 05:45 AM to have a plate and 6 screws put in the fore arm.

Hey I have a plate and 6 screws in my leg!

Dont worry, the only metal detectors that you will set off are the paddle types. You'll be fine at the airport.

But... if you think it hurt to break it, wait till you wake up from surgery. Good thing is, they will give you some good meds. They even put a pump in my leg to directly dispense the meds, but I dont know if they will do that for your arm or not, since its a lot different than a knee break. But you could always ask for it I suppose.

Good luck with the surgery!

-Mr Pheer is talking about an "on Q" branded "pain ball."
it is filled with local anesthetic (like your dentist uses) and dispenses over several days.

-Alternatively, you could ask Anesthesia to do a "Nerve Block" before the surgery (they can still put you to sleep too).

-Best wishes

Hope the surgery goes well!
And I'm glad you're following up with all that and not trying to weather it out by yourself...

Let us know how it goes...

1 plate and 6 screws? Ya lightweight, I got 2 plates and 12 screws in my wrist. Looks like yours should heal pretty well since it's not at a joint like mine was. Start your re-hab right after surgery keep moving the muscles so they don't atrophy, but don't do anything weight-baring. If you want any of the tricks I've used to re-hab my numerous broken bones, let me know.
