Great commercial... it emphasizes HD as a lifestyle accessory and downplays functionality/performance. They will continue to make money on their product.

Yeah Vegaseric, you are absolutely right. That is why I bought the Yamaha Raider. Outperformed all other cruisers for 10k less.

absolutely....1 of my friends and got to trash talking a little bit ago. He rides a HD all chromed out with all the gadgets (a truely nice bike). The kill shot was when I asked him how many times he brought in his brand new HD for "other than routine" maintenance.... Sportbikes -1 / HD - 0

Cool video, until I realized it wasn't a spoof. I was waiting for something to happen. But just like the Harley bikes, its was all just a lot of talk.

Different strokes. When I'm on a cruiser, I dont care about the 'performance' aspect of things... I want a relaxing ride on a cool looking and cool sounding bike. Damn sure wont win any races on it though, unless its against another cruiser. And frankly, the idea of v-twin powered 800lb bikes racing is just fucking stupid to me, and always has been. When I'm concerned about performance, I'll curl up into a fetal position on a repli-racer and although it wont be comfortable at all and it will sound like a hornet's nest, it will be amazingly fast and thrilling in the curves, with lightning acceleration. But kinda looks to me like a 2-wheel version of a tuner car at a stop light. And arguing the whole thing is like saying screw your apples, my oranges are better. Just depends on what you like... nobody can tell you that you're wrong. Well they can, but fuck them. | |

BUT...I have spent way to much time on the road behind 30+ cool HD guys going 65mph in the left lane. I have no problem with the lifestyle, spending $25k on very old technology and assless pants, just GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE LEFT LANE. Your just as cool in the right lane........just my .02

Actually at a second look. Its a cool commercial. And they are right about one thing. Cowboys had it right. Cause all I need is my girl, my bike, and my gun. When you get all three of those things together, life just seems to make more sense.

| Quote: Sums it up pretty good. If I wasnt so apathetic about bikes anymore I'd probably buy a Harley, because I've always liked them even if they arent the "Newest & greatest" stuff out there. Its funny how every company that makes a cruiser tries to copy their style. | |
