I Ride: 2008 FJR 1983 CB1100F
Stopped by the HD dealer on Rainbow and was amazed by what I saw. Parking lot was just as expected with 'general backslapping and my chrome is shinier than yours stuff', but walked in and was amazed, jaw dropped to the ground when I saw vintage Norton's, unbelievable(only in your dreams unbelievable) Bimotas, café racing Guzzi's from the 70's, and there in the corner was the original screamer..... mid 70's 750 Kaw 2 stroke triple. This bike defined out of control back in my day.
It was like, having a wet dream about your sister. The coolest of the cool imprisoned by chrome and dated technology. I'm not slamming the HD set, I admire their friendship and death grip brand loyalty, assless pants and ride or die in formation riding style, but the culture just is not my cup of tea. To see this collection of some of the finest examples of Moto history in an HD dealership was amazing to say the least.

No pics, just flew in to look at some helmets. They have everything you need as long as it's black and says HD on it.

Don't think so, but it strange to have several Bimotas on the floor?

I'm in that store quite a bit.... They have several of Freddie Spencer's old GP Hondas as well. And some very nice vintage Ducatis.

I dont think its a special event.

The HD dealership on eastern has had old race bikes on display every time I've been there.

Let's have an SCS event one day and visit the HD dealers here... SCS invades HD. We can go in and balk at the chrome, ask about lean angles and knee-dragging, while admiring the vintage bike collections at each!! :-)

Still there, I think they want 60K for it. Do Bimota riders wear chaps?

I guess if you can ride/afford a Bimo, you can wear whatever you want!
