When I was coming in the front gate (coming East on Craig) there was a wadded up Kawasaki about 40ft East of Las Vegas Blvd, I don't know the model (it was wadded up BAD), but it was a sportbike. My boss said that the rider was Active Duty, with ABU's and a reflective vest on. He came in the gate about 15min before I did and he said that the rider was still laying there when he passed. So it had just happened around 7:15am.

With the bike being that far away from the intersection (he was almost to the turn heading to the security guards), all I can think is that the rider was heading South on LVB and some asshole blew the stoplight either going onto base, or making a left from Craig onto LVB North and hit the bike. I see that shit every day coming to work. That intersection is horrible with fucktards running red lights.

Be safe out there guys, my prayers are with the rider. If anyone hears any info, please post it up. I hope the guy/girl turns out alright.

The speed limit is 45mph on LVB & Craig Rd, so that usually means 50mph+ on both roads.

With the short green arrow to turn left onto LVB North, most times there are 3-4 dickheads that run that red light at every signal-cycle at that time of the morning. I wish that they would increase the time given for peeps to turn there.

We had someone on here that works for North Las Vegas in the signal dept. Anyone remember who that was? I'd LOVE to put in for a analysis of that intersection's light times.

It's amazing how many douchbag drivers there are out there. We all have to be ultra aware and assume the worst.

Damn... not again.

I heard about this accident on my Sirius traffic update, but I had no idea it was a bike. They stated that there were injuries, though.

I can't get onto the base website to check for any update. Hopefully the damage to the bike happened after he got off.
