Yeah bought my first bike (1998 CBR F3) today. Had to drive 40 miles to go and pick her up. So this was my first motorcycle ever and I had no experience on bikes besides what I did in my MSF course. I had to ride this beast back 40 miles on the freeway. I was scared sh!tless at first but as soon as I got the bike up to speed it just felt natural. I took everything I learned in my MSF course about lane position and traffic strategies and I got home safe! :D

I stalled the bike twice. Once when I was hitting a stop light(Let go of the clutch for some reason) then again at the same light taking off from first. Lots of miles and lots of practice to go but i'm going to take it very easy. Don't worry though im not a speed junky and I have no urge to try and show off or do stunts. So far the bikes power hasn't been uncontrollable with restraint.

So cheers guys :cheers

Hope to see you all out on the road. If you see a white/red F3 going down the street give me a wave :D(If I don't wave back im probably just concentrating alot on what i'm doing lol)

Hi Gabe. Welcome to the site. Good choice for a bike. The F3s are very manageable 600s. You should get lots of fun miles out of it

Thanks everybody! I'll be sure to try and get into some rides with everyone. Lots of practice to get in. Its raining this week and I don't really want to mess with my bike in the rain yet. Its like torture having a bike I just got sit in the garage :(

Clean bike. I loved my F4i's.
Take it easy and get the feel for your bike. I suggest riding to some of the meets, and then when your comfortable join up with SCS for a ride. Everyone's good people and experianced, so you'll be in good hands ;)

Good thinking getting an older 600. That Honda reminds me of the 95 ZX6R that I started out on. A lot of times I miss the old school bikes, they are a whole other breed of bike than the current supersports. I bet that thing is comfy! Be careful out there and take it nice and slow. You will be rewarded with years of great riding memories. Hope to see you out there soon!
