| Motor Cyclist Dies in Las Vegas Accident - Las Vegas Now LAS VEGAS - A man riding a motorcycle died Monday after crashing into the back of a car. It is the 10th fatal accident this year in Las Vegas. The rider and another person on a motorcycle were speeding northbound on Lorenzi Street near Alta Drive. The car was also going northbound on Lorenzi when the rider hit the car's back bumper. Police say the motorcycle was going so fast, it skidded more than 150 feet before stopping. Metro Police Sgt. Oscar Chavez says the accident could have been avoided. "Had these two motorcycles been abiding by that speed (limit), this may not have happened tonight." he said. The other motorcycle rider left the scene of the accident. Police are looking for him to hear his side of the story. Las Vegas has experienced twice as many fatal accidents this year compared with the same time last year.

This was 100% avoidable. The accident and the douche-bag he was riding with. How do you just take off?

| Probably didn't have a M Endorsement. You would be surprised how many riders ride without one. I bet you a good portion of the members who have signed up here are unlicensed, and probably have particapated in many of the forum sponsored rides in which you may have ridden with.

| I think he was talking about forum members, not SCS members. And yes I bet a good portion of people on here do not have a license. A lot of people just get a learners permit which allows them to go on rides with other licensed people. However it states you can't use highways, freeways, etc. I have no idea why SCS does not check licenses at a group ride. Just think how bad things would get if somebody died on an scs sponsored ride without an M.

Just another reason to make us look bad! Ride In Peace to the fallen rider. Burn In Hell to the rider that took off!!!!!

Anyone can become a forum member and post up. That's why I'm very cautious on some of the group rides. I always try to ride with somebody I know, versus someone I don't know. Fortunately, I know a lot of you and have ridden alongside of you that I have no worries. And to the rider who left, either no M endorsement or a suspended license I suspect. Total loser who ever you are.
