I heard several of you had an opportunity to ride the new 2010 Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle... What's the verdict? Pro's and con's? Looking for some real reviews by the riders and not the press. Thanks in advance!

I road the bike,,,, not as long as pat. My overall thoughts were that the bike is a decent bike. It has plenty of power all across the board. Comfortable layout and riding position for the rider, with one minor problem. I had a hard time riding with the balls of my feet on the pegs, when I did the heels of my boots hit the mounting hardware for the pipe. One impression I had for this bike it would be a great daily commuter. When I got on the bike I almost felt like I was on a Super Motar bike.. It handled well and seemed to be stable in the corners. As I only got to ride it about 5 min I thought it was a decent bike.

I enjoyed my short test ride. The Z1000 seems like a great all-arounder given my limited seat time. Pros and cons are as follows: Pros: Comfy upright seating position Flexible powerband... it pulled nice from the low revs on up to redline Positive, effortless shift action It looks good... definitely better in person Cons: Hard to read instruments Fat exhaust pipes can limit foot positions
