I received this via email from a friend today and am copy/pasting his email here. I don't really need to say anything else...

....this is a something I think that every rider should read when they have a chance.

Seattle to Argentina on a KLR650 - ADVrider

If you are pressed for time, read the first few posts, then skip to post # 39, and read on. and on if you can, at least to page 14, and then on and on. I strongly encourage it.

Such a horrible outcome, but surprisingly he has a great attitude.

Once again, everyone must accept the consequences whenever they decide to hop on their bikes, so make sure you are covered 110% when it comes to medical insurance.

Sometimes I wonder myself if this is going to be my last ride. But knowing that I always ride with full gear from Helmet, gloves, jacket, riding pants and boots, and have double medical & life insurance, I have done everything that I could possibly do to ensure myself that in the event something goes wrong, I'm covered.

What was it like a 2 day span between when he last posted and took his life? Very very sad. =(

Clayton did say he was wreckless and foolish for what he didn't do. He didn't slow down to adapt to his surroundings, instead he continued with disregard. We can't turn back time to save him now, but we can learn from him. Watch out for your surroundings, speed when permittable, and wear your gear. His mom did say how it hurt to watch other riders not wearing helmets or gear, when in fact that was what saved her son.

And it was very motivating to see his ride process. Parked his bike inside his motel, because the threat of someone siphonig his gas. His ride to Argentina did sound great, and his pictures were amazing. RIP

If you're really pressed for time, once you read the beginning and post #39 and some after that, read post #194.
