Hey Junior,

This is Freddy.

Im glad you came out ok.

They are JP and Kelly (the guys that helped you out).

Post up some pics of the damage, and a description of what happened.
Perhaps that might help other riders improve their riding.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear that you went down. Never fun. However, as Freddy mentioned, please post up how the crash went down and what you think went wrong. That does help others (even experienced riders) take a look at how things happened and improve their own riding. As well as taking a look at it yourself to help yourself next time you're on the bike. Whether it was your fault or a dirty road or a mechanical issue. It helps everyone all around to review those types of situations.

But I'm glad you're okay within reason.

Gregg here, from Cycle Gear. Was that at the wash after the look-out inside the loop? I stopped to check on you and gave you a water, I was with my sister's family in my car. Hope you are doing alright! Bike looked rideable, wasn't sure about your injuries though.

sounds like you suffered way more than the bike did... what kind of gear were you wearing and how well did it work?

That was the guy that went back in to look for him and he wrecked also. Then me and delit got tickets leaving the loop by presley. He timed us @ 14 min luckly for us we were looking for the wrecked bike or he would have gottin us at under 10 min..lol

Wait a minute...you got a ticket due to him "timing" you?

Somehow I don't think that can hold up in court. If he wasn't pacing you or got you on radar, I don't think the "assumption" of his timing you can hold up in court.

unfortunately for Mitch, it is a set distance. 13.7 miles i believe it is. If he goes in and they see him and he comes out in 13 minutes, that gives him an average speed of over 60 miles an hour.

True...but I've never heard of something like that holding up in court. I mean, it makes sense, don't get me wrong, but how can the officer prove his "time piece" is accurately calibrated? He can't. Thus, it would have to be thrown out of court due to the officer not being able to have a calibrated device to track how he was "timing" the offender.

Radar is calibrated...the officer's patrol car speedo is calibrated...thus they can use those when they use radar on you or they pace you for AT LEAST 1 mile. However, I don't believe their watch is officially calibrated, so who's to say that watch isn't really fast and it didn't take you that long to go through the loop?

Just sayin'...that would be something I would bring up in court.

I've heard of people getting out of tickets (in VA at least) because they asked to see the officers calibration printout for the radar and the cop couldn't produce it.
