I Ride: YAMAHA '06 FZ6, 2000 XT 225
That's how many days it took to reach this figure. I guess a 4600 mile trip up north followed with another 1000 mile trip the next weekend to hit the twisties down in Southern California with my FZ6 Forum members helps.

Once again, got lucky with the photographer Rick Clemson

Our Theme for today's ride:

Coming down Montezuma Valley Road down into Borreno Springs which consists of long sweeping corners with a steep grade at a very high speed. One mistake and you're done. I was lucky, I was the 3rd rider out of 16 to reach the bottom so the cop didn't turn up the highway yet.

But for a couple; going 70 in a 55. License and registration please.

Turns out the two got off with a warning. Now here is a LEO that understands what was going on. Everyone is all geared up, and mature about the whole situation. We all tell the LEO that we never cross the doulble yellows and ride within or means. No whining or bitching about getting a ticket. The two accepted the consequences. After a clean check on their record, they are good.

Turns out one of the rider who was riding two up, started to get heat exhauston as the temperture was nearing 110 at the bottom. The Leo gave her a 30 minute ride to a nearby casino for relief. On the ride over, the LEO mentioned we were the nicest group of motorcyclist he has ever encountered.

LOL as soon as the two got pulled over, about a dozen of us started taking pictures.

That's not too bad, that averages out to 14,800+ a year for a little over 3 years.

I believe I had 24,000 in 10 months on the VTX when I went down.

I will exceed that this year.

LOL!
Thats a pretty cool story/pics there!

At the bottom of that road is where I got my ticket for not wearing a helmet.
Hahaha! Good story for the kids here...

Great road though!
